I emailed the dept of ed, and they said NCLB is up for review in 2007. It won't necessarily end when Bush ends, but I pray Congress strikes it down or modifies it in 2007. If not, it can go on and on for years.
Teachers have been having nervous breakdowns, quitting, and the children are suffering.
And the teachers at Title 1 schools are treated badly, and so are the kids. They don't even let the kids go on field trips. This is the governemnt;s way of punishing kids with low test scores by not allowing them to go on field trips.
It makes my blood boil.
Seems like teachers everywhere should be ready to battle Congress in 2007.
