Similar situations existed with Apartheid (apartness) in South Africa. What Apartheid ? They forced contact with blacks routinely.
And, lets not forget several million mixed race people living their too. I thought Apartheid was about protecting the white from being polluted by contact with the black. Oh I forgot, that's only about white women.
Contact is only bad when it is on an equal footing and is non-profitable to the cause of racial tyranny.

White folk turned the world upside down!!!
It is the craziest thing that some how African people became the people to fear in the US among African and White people.
When it was just 40-50 years ago everybody knew that when you seen a white person you betta look the other way or you might get hung beaten or have all types of other harm come to you for being African.

this is what i've realized after all these years. luckily i have white friends who can see past my color. there will always be racist people in the world. it all depends on their upbringing. it's sad that some of them were brought up to dislike, misunderstand or hate black people like us.

I know that we are a "strong race of people" but this really hurts my feelings. I am 25 and I have never been so perceptive of all the racisim that still exsists against blacks. Every time that I say "that person is ignorant" something happens to make me say, is this going to change, ever? I am tired of the unfair treatment that we have to deal with, but we always just end up dealing with it. The question is why do we feel that we need to just need to be strong and accept it? Sometimes the tiniest things are way to much to bare. Maybe with time I will mature, so this will not get me down.

Believe it or not, Jesse is not the only black person who feels this way, deep down. Forget about white folks, we're afraid of ourselves. And as far as I'm concerned, the amount of fear and distrust we harbor in the black community towards one another is justified to an extent (i.e., black-on-black crime).
And you don't know how much I hate saying what I just said, but it's true.

A lot of the fear is programmed into everyone's psyche every day by the media, TV cop shows, and movies.
And, some of it is guilt. White people know that they have collectively committed some really evil crap to get what they got. And, they know, even if they do not publicly admit it, that they do not deserve to keep what they stole. So, when they see the people they stole from, they start gripping their purses and locking they car doors.
The state of Israel demonstrates this behavior on a national scale. They know they stole Palestine from Palestinians. And, they know they do not deserve to keep what they stole. So, everytime they see who they stole the state of Israel from, they start getting all paranoid and prone to commit violent acts. This explains the settlements on the West Bank, the bombing of Syria, and the planned bombing of Iran.
