Come to think of it, the movies don't even have any substance (like the one called "Rage and Discipline"). A lot of them don't have a storyline. They just be shooting people and having sex. What IS THAT????!! Somebody actully wasted film on that? Come on BET, You GOT to do betta than that. You knew those movies had a lot of cursing in them before you chose to air them. Either LEAVE THE CURSE WORDS ALONE or DON'T PLAY THE MOVIES AT ALL!

Well Serenity....IMO sex and violence sells. People will pay to see it. What can I tell you? It's unfortunate yes, but it is the reality of things.

I agree. I deleted it from my program line up so that I don't even see it when I'm channel surfing.

BET Cancels 'Uncut' Television Program
By EbenGregory and Remmie Fresh
Date: 7/10/2006 1:20 pm
"BET Uncut," a music video program from Black Entertainment Television, has been canceled after a six year run on the entertainment television network. The show was discontinued by BET executives, according to sources, and the last episode aired last Friday (July 8) in a finale hosted by rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri.
Infamous for scantily-clad women and sexual themes, "BET Uncut" featured videos from well-known Hip-Hop and R&B artists that were intended for mature
audiences only.
Because of its titillating content, the show was rated TV-MA and had been deemed unsuitable for children under the age of 17.
The show made headlines in 2004 after various African-American women's groups protested because of the portrayal of women when Nelly's "Tip Drill" became a standout video. In the video, Nelly, The St. Lunatics and David Banner indulge in sexual folly with strippers and at the climatic point, Nelly swipes a credit card between a woman's buttocks.
The backlash eventually forced the Nelly to cancel a bone marrow drive on Spelman College, a historically Black women's college in Atlanta.
Fans of "BET Uncut" have already started an online petition to have the show put back on the air.

That's a good start, but why stop there? There are other programs that should be cut from BET's lineup as well. It is unfortunate that so many people, black people, are wasting their time trying to get this BS back on the air with an online petition. I hope they don't succeed.

BET Un-cut
AMEN Mr. Atlanta,
The on-line petition effort SHOULD BE to clean up more of the titillating, yet disrespectful to our lovely black sisters, videos that still air during the day when our young, impressable teens are viewing the station. Why are we, (blacks) so hesitant to speak out about the negative images portrayed by both the dominate white media empire, AND by blacks themeselves? When this on-line petition is presented to those of us with a conscience, we should not quickly "delete" the petition, but respond to both those who sent it, and on the petition itself our SUPPORT of ending the negative, self-degrading images of our people.... Let's make it even "HARDER" out there for the Pimp-ing" going on and to our community!!!!!!!

I agree! I deleted that BET channel and all other personally disagreeable channels from my programming line up so that it never shows in my channel surfing, however, the fact that I don't see the mess doesn't mean it isn't still going on, and unfortunately, young people aren't tuning out just because some of us are. I haven't seen any of the petitions yet, but should I get one I will likewise respond to it. I, too am sick of sexploitation, especillay when it involves our people or when it targets our young people. I rarely watch TV but when I do, I only view programs that are free of sex (including those with sexual innundoes and overtones) and I stay away from that foul profanity that is so prevalent now. I keep the remote very close by so that I can hit the channel changer or "off" button when something I find personally offensive to me is shown.

Steamy some would say vulgar records have been around since Chuck Berry. We hit a wave with Luke whatever his name was or two live crew. The videos that show black women working it,and there is nobody that can work it like that. Some would say fair is fair, and you guys had your titilation now it's our time.
Whatever, whatever if you pay the cost up in your household cut the girls on a pole, gone off a pole, or just gone crazy off. The jump off videos shalt be happening,if mom and dad is there in control.
