With all the the network has been airing, they may as well call it WET. Whitewash Entertainment Television . I know this is a quote but, I had to state this fact twice.

I Gotta Be Honest. The First Mistake Was Expecting Substance From Bet. It's Better Days Past About 5 Years Ago.
Regarding The "bleeping" Out. Yhea, I Hear You. I Hate That Too As A Matter Of Fact. But What Can You Do. Oh, A Lot Of The Black Films They Put Out Are Garbage Anyway. Not Because Of The Sex And The Cursing (that's Apart Of Life One Way Or Another.) They're Garbage Because It's The Same Story Line Over And Over And Over Again. Just Differnet Men And Women To Play The Roles. And Sometimes, That's Not Even The Case.

Is it me or does it seem as if TV Land is more about Black Entertainment than the self-proclaimed Black Entertainment Television network? For the past 3 years, TV Land has saturated it's primetime lineup with quality black programming, and has gone further than BET in celebrating Black History Month with the airing of the special called "That's What I'm Talking About" which aired in PRIMETIME in three parts to illustrate the culture, history and accomplishments of black people. It was an excellent program with excellent content in my opinion. Where was BET?

i think it has to do with the fact that there's a belief that if a black movie does'nt contain profanity or foul language that it's not "black" enough or blacks would not relate to the story line.the assumption is that blacks are incapable of having a normal conversation without using curse words or profanity.on the other hand,BET is not known to show or portray anything that is uplifting or positive for blacks.

It's not so much the movies that bother me as it is them always having hours long of music videos every hour everyday but Sunday, then want to put on a million of them phony pastors that tell you to call for some free pouch of 'miracle water.' Nothing but corny sitcoms and videos. How is it that Univision (the Hispanic channel) has everything from soap operas, to sitcoms, to variety shows, and we can't come up with anything with an ounce of substance on our network?

The problem is that it is no longer our network. BET is run by white folks now, despite having a sista fronting like she's in control. And even when it was Black owned BET's purpose serving the community had long been forgotten. The spanish networks are very good about the variety of programming they show, I have to agree there. It will be nice when some of us come up with the same concept for channels for us.

You got that right!! Why did they get rid of AJ and Free?? I mean no one answered that question yet?? Julissa and Big Tigger do not have that chemistry that AJ and Free had. I just dont watch 106 and Park anymore. I hated the videos they showed, but AJ and Free made the show. I think that Viacom got tired of the show beating out Total Request Live on MTV.
