Frankly, its a waste of time to watch anything on their basic cable channel b/c its straight . The only thing that I may watch on BET Networks occasionally are their BET Jazz Channel and Starz Channel and that's it.

I disagree. BET was in the toilet well before Johnson sold it. He was the one who set BET on the path it's on now.

As for BET Jazz Channel, it has issues also. Instead of consistently highlighting real jazz artists, it tends to highlight other crappy "artists" like Dave Koz, who don't play jazz music.

Agreed. As I've said before in thread, I knew it was the beginning of the end when they fired Tavis and Bev Smith. They had some of the best shows on BET.

Agreed. Dave Koz is the eqivalent of Kenny G which is sloppy imatations of Jazz.

LOL I have gotten real vex watching BET jazz . In alot of their footage , the camera always focuses on the white or lightest guy in the band even when someone else is doing an amazing solo . I have seen it this bad that during an amazing horn or drum solo the camera is on the white guy with the triangle or something

Has anyone seen TVOne yet?It seems really new like in development but it looks promising. I don't see any of the negativity I see on BET.

i agree bet went down the drain ages ago. first off they take away black news segment, before that to take you back they took away the entertainment news show screen scene. bet has started to cater to what viacom thinks it's tired audience wants. I agree with the original post don't show it if your going to bleep it out. I expect that from usa and tbs not bet. to me bet like another poster said should be owned by the black business moguls who not only know black entertainment but know music.

change the channel, I cant believe you even try to watch those movies. Bet is trash and they are making fun of us all over bet, vh1 and mtv have yall seen the paul moony show about the f'ed up moments in black history just sad
