QUOTE: " So what's the big deal with the attitude. Again, as I said previously, it's all a matter of aligning yourself with individuals who are top of their game in class an you won't have problem with slackers when it comes time for group assignments."
Madame? There was miscommunication here. I agreed with your stance on this. Be well.

I feel you on the group project thing. That's why I would rather work on projects by myself. When I was in school, I went through the same thing---- I always felt that I had to do everyone else's share of the work because either they weren't going to do it or they didn't care enough about grades to do their share. When you are constantly having to pick up other people's slack, groupwork is pointless!
Don't stress yourself out too much girl. Try talking to them about your what you're feelin'. Let them know that you feel that they are not pitching in nor taking the project seriously. If communicating your feelings with them doesn't improve the situation within the next few days, then you should definitely make an appointment with your professor and discuss the problems you are having with the other members. A lot of professors say that they want the students to make it work, but the truth is you can't make somebody do what they are supposed to do--- you can only control what the amount of work that you do. If your professor falls into this category, then I think that this point should be brought up. The ideas that you have for your part of the assignment, go ahead and do those. Don't take on any more than that. Work on making your part look good and when you're finished, then just relax, call it a day, and rest in the fact that you have excelled in doing what you were supposed to do. As for those other twits that you have been forced to deal with, when they see that you are not going to do their part in addition to finishing your own, then they'll eventually step up to the plate. The one thing I have learned about groups is that in order for some of the lazy members to step up, some of the more motivated members need to step back. So you just concentrate on doing your thing because this [your project] is not a solo gig.
