Yea they are still musicians. Its not my fault you have never heard of them before. Thats what the internet is for. I feel for people who are not internet saavy. Yo James how come the site called Destee Community won't let me log in with my name? I emailed the webmaster but he still hasn't emailed me back. Peace and google search the word "new musicians" and see what you come up with James.

for those of us who appreciate good MUSIC the genre or who the artiste is will not affect the music. If the music is good it is good, from whatever the generation. I love KRS, Percy Sledge, Swammp Dogg, and i also love Alicia Keys and Lauren Hill, IMHO it is the music.
peace

Here is the real deal on whats HipHop = Dead Prez, Public Enemy, KRS1, Little Brother, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Slum Village, Goodie Mob, Outkast, Black Market Militia, Nas, etc.

This is PopRap= Paul Wall(ignorant white boy thug), Slim Thug, Fifty Cent, Ja Rule, Tony Yayo, and the rest of that crap that comes on BET, MTV, MTV2, VH1, and the local radio stations. Thats the difference when it comes to HipHop and PopRap. So don't get upset at us HipHoppas get upset at those PopRappas who think that they are thugs, gangstas and pimps.
Propably because old folks don't care enough to really study it. My definition and categorization of the different types of hiphop are not nearly as granular as what you so superbly articulate here either. I have the following cats; Concisous hip hop and Trash hop. concious is for artist that are creative and give you something to appreciate and think about. Trash hop is all the mainstream, fake bling, pseudo-gangsta content.

Names of a performer or group of performers do not always reflect who they b. I admit to b n old w/o shame and am familiar with some of your favorites. To me HipHop, whatever it is, is no different from any other aspect of life... more of y'all need to

i like that look back before you move forward i like to write down sayings and this is a keeper
