Funny that you have no disgust towards the overt homosexual wantonly approaching anyone they think they can "get it" from. Don't put others on blast because you find it acceptable for homos to engage in such conduct without repercussions.

wow. it's amazing how much anger can be stirred up from just a comment. i mean, i would expect that from a group of crips, but the men and women here who have said he had it coming?? i think that's a bit harsh. i mean, dude almost died. i am in no way defending gay people, but just people in general. that's crazy that you can almost kill someone for saying something offensive to you.
i know that men, esp. black men, are VERY sensitive about their manhood and sexuality being threatened, but i don't think anything was solved by putting this man in the hospital...and it just put yet another black man in jail.
a situation happened like this to my younger brother. he was at work, went to the bathroom, and a gay coworker walked up to the next urinal and was just staring at him. of course my brother got pissed and asked him what he was staring for. when the dude said 'i just wanted to see what you're workin with'...my brother stopped mid-pee and slammed the dude up against the wall, informing him that he was not interested and if he did anything like that again he'd hurt him. he called me on his lunch and i told him to just tell the manager instead of beating dude up (like he was planning on doing), and he did...and dude got fired after a couple other guys complained about him too. no one got seriously hurt, and my brother got his point across.

From the looks of the story, that guy shouldn't flirted with the crip. He should've been a bit more careful because, homosexuality has become much more of a bigger issues these days. And something like that could've been prevented if he had kept on about his business. Not saying what the guy did was right because it was completely wrong I feel. No one deserves that. But at the same, that guy should've conducted himself a little better. Especially if he knows that homosexuality in the black community is something that is taboo; especially amongst black men. And it was a gang? He's lucky enough to be alive because that could've been much worse.
I've said it before on here....I'm not homophobic. But one thing that I do believe is that the conduct of homosexuals stereotypically gets to me. Some of them come off a little strong and not so composed as a person. Like always flaunting their sexual orientation. Its like "ok, you're gay.....we get it, stop reminding me".
As for people being gay, its like you can't force someone to live their life. If thats what they wanna do, they can go ahead. People will make up their minds when it comes to their sexual preference sooner or later. But just remember, there are certain attributes with the homosexual lifestyle that men and women alike must prepare for.

Broth D, I'm glad that you restated the facts so people don't get it twisted. Because, for action, there's going to be a reaction. And in this case, somebody tried to impose themselves on man who clearly wasn't having it.

I really think this is a repercussion of the down low phenom. The brothers who indulge in this lifestyle should bear some (not all) responsibility. I won't discard the impact that the explosive prison system has a lot to do with it, along with the concentrated effort to effemazize(sp) the black man.
You have gay people who have the mind set that everybody is game.
So they can come on to any and everybody. It is totally disrespectful I imagine for a straight male to have that encounter.
A counter move would be to come up with a program to teach the gay men who indulge in disrespectful behavior towards straight men to save their lives and straight men need to be taught to think before bashing in someone's head and be places into that explosive prison system.

It is clear, to me at least, that the attacker probably had issues with his own sexuality. His inappropriate response seems consistent with the psychological defense mechanism of projection. I really don't understand how gay bashers can be so blind to the fact that their actions scream, "I'm a closet case!"
In any event, They'll probably have his young @ss wearing skirts and hoop earrings on Rikers Island before his case even comes to trial.

More or less it boils down to respecting someone sexual preference by not intentionally hitting on them when they've made it clear they're not interested. Now, if an individual can't respect someones boundaries then, a hard head will make a soft behind no pun intended.

I'm not buying this, rather evil, line of reasoning which seems to excuse a felonious assault which left a man in a coma. Only a punk would be so offended by a gay man flirting with him, that he'd physically attack him. You don't have a right to attack someone because they said something you don't like. And that is a lesson that this little n*gga will learn in the showers of Riker's Island night after night.
