I agree with you, that is so true. I dont think he deserved it, its not like he approached them with an advance. The article states they asked him what he was looking at, while he was taking his trash out, of course he shouldnt have said anything suggestive to them, especially since it appears that they were looking to kick something off, but it still doesnt justify some of the comments that he deserved it.

I agree with you too, Ran, we all have sinned. I know that homosexuality is wrong, but that doesnt mean Im going out to start ish with someone because thats the lifestyle they chose. Hell, as long as they dont disrespect or continue to push up on you once you state your position, then I think they should be allowed to go on about their fairy/butch way. No hard feelings. A beat down should only follow persistance, when they continue to come on to you or if they touch you in an inappropriate manner. They have to deal with God individually, Im not going to execute judgement.

Taking the article at face value (and what Baba had to say about the Daily News is noted and agreed upon) I just couldn't see myself opening up a can of whoop ayzz on some sissy for answering my question flirtatiously. I'd like to think I'd just walk away shaking my head in disgust, maybe even throwing out some choice words as I go on my way. Now touching me crosses the line. You getting fugged up. Or if there is a kid with me then that could also possibly send me over the edge cuz I'd hope even if you were going to disrespect me with that gay ish the person would have enough decency to not do it in front of a child. Yeah that would be grounds for getting that ayzz whooped. But in the scenario of the story, I just feel that was uncalled for. Nah, they didn't have to beat him damn near to death over that. I don't think ordinary people would have either. Remember these were ruthless gang members in the first place, so it's obvious that they would have reacted violently because of a sexually suggestive comment from a man. I agree with your second point Brotha D. For some reason, dominent society has tried to lump the struggles of an sexual orientation with the struggles of a race of people.
