What you said reminded me of the time I was walking down the street in Washinton, D.C. in 1979. I was walking down the street heading for the Greyhound station. I saw this crazy looking man walking toward me and we eyeballed each other like people normally do. The next thing I hear is "what the fk you lookin' at? I did not say a word because the man looked crazy and I was not looking for a fight. I kept on walking about my business. It's not a good idea to say anything to an unstable person that will make them do something crazy toward you. If the man taking the trash out just used words it's one thing. If he were to touch that's totally different. Now he can sue the men that put him in his current conditon because they acted without thinking about the consequences.

Either you don't have kids, haven't been around kids, or have siblings/cousins ect... I guess I'm the only person who has ever responded to the question, "What you looking at?" with a "You".

They beat him up because of the way he responded which was he preceived was flirtatiously...not even a challenge to his manhood but a challenge to his sexuality. With that being said...the bashers were not "crazy" or "unstable" just plain bad azzes.

You missed the point. I have said "you' to people that I know. I would not dare say it to the crazy man that asked me that question years ago. Major difference. You already know that gangbangers are not playing with a full deck anyway. They were wrong for what they did plain and simple. If you say the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong tme, you could end up hurt or dead even though it's your right to say what you choose to. No need in being dead right.

I recanted what I said originally because I didn't read the part where the fag made a pass at him. If that had happened to me, it may have resulted in a physical altercation.

If homosexual sickness if ok with you, I respect that. If you find nothing wrong with being sexually approached by them, I can respect that too.

But I feel the same way about homos as I do about child molestors, beastiality, polygamists and all the other sexual perversions and sicknesses; don't make me the object of your vomit-inducing desires, nor my family and your jaw will remain intact.

Dblack is not perfect; I understand that violence is not the answer, but can live with my disposition on this.

What's really sad is that gays are even defended in the black community now!

@ Charliekilothree--My bad...I went back and reread your statement. I see where you are going with this...1979 :eek: I thought I was old..I mean older. :)

@DBlack--Not sure about gays being defended in the black community, but I don't feel that anyone black, white, gay, straight deserves to be brutally beaten up for their differences. I find nothing wrong with being approach I've been in bars/clubs and have been approached my woman and I just tell them "I'm not interested. I date men ONLY- no exceptions" and keep on keeping on. It's no different if a man approaches I will let them know I am not interested and I'm married. Seriously, I don't see myself catching a criminal case behind what I can articulate clearing and directly.

I'm not trying to be argumentative about it. Let's just say that, as a man, some things, I don't tolerate. Frankly, the whole cultural acceptance of gay behavior is, to me a contributing negative factor in the black communities and family, and I find it reprehensible that people see it differently than from other sexual preversions and illnesses.

It's not about judging anyone, It's about personal respect. We just agree to disagree, but calling me ignorant is not called for; we don't make personal attacks in this community: Attack the argument and not the person please!
