Of course. Back in the day, Madame would sport braids or some puffs(pass the Afro Sheen) listening to my 8 track.

I think you need to bring the puffs back, they are an under rated hair style.

Hmm. That's a thought. Of course, Snoop's home girl Rage beat me to it.

I sure wish I'd had a camera with me. Last while shopping, I saw a male with puff balls hairstyle.
How ironic I see this post today.

Unfortunately that look isn't uncommon. Though I wouldn't mind a few women bring it back , I have to say it look particularly silly on men.

LMAO you aren't joking. All the videos and shows of this nature have changed into hoe train. Can anyone sing without being damn near naked?

Okay? Back in the day on Soul Train, the dancers were teenagers from the streets, not some dance studio. Dancers like Jodie Wadley, Damita Jo Freeman, "Penguin" (known as Fred Berry, this brotha was also in the group, The Lockers), Shaba Doo, etc. My oldest sister used to hang out there in the studio and I used to think that they were so kewl when I was a kid! Hot-pants, blow-out naturals and all that stuff! I saw an old show called American Bandstand from wayyy back in the day on cable. Talk about a bunch of teenagers that could NOT dance---"no rhythm." And I did not see any black teens on this show either.
Now Soul Train is chasing the rainbow. Catch the clue--the name of the show was SOUL!

While American Bandstand was a majority-white show, it was integrated for much of its life, from about the mid-60s onward (it didn't have a regular African American dance couple until 1965). The ethnic makeup of the dancers varied from week-to-week and year-to-year, though.
