Woah,

This is the last thing I'll say that's off the original topic, but in response to D Black and others who may have been offended by my post,
I'm sorry call it personal or whatever but if a member not only advocates but admits to smacking women around (in another post) and add to that other offensive comments towards women, being a woman myself I get kind of irritated with such negative messages, to say the least. I guess that irritation and anger about those posts came out here where maybe it's not relevant. I could say more about this but its probably better to PM a mod.

I follow an Afrikan belief system and you wouldn't believe the fanatics that try to damn me/convert me for not believing in a white man with blue eyes and flowing blond hair. I've been called brainwashed. Lost. Evil u name it. Its sad. It made me jaded towards Christians especially the ones who use stupid little phrases like "I'm not perfect but I am saved"/ "if you don't follow Jesus hell awaits you" etc...I hate that sooooo much...if the slaves weren't beaten into following this crooked faith that steals from kemet no black christians would exist. I think religious fanatics serve no purpose and are annoying losers who are afaid to question faith/themselves or this world.

Ok, I'd admit. I've been caught up/debated the "religious" moments only because I'm bothered when folks spout off the bible to debate their issue only picking one or two bible verses to prove a point while not telling the entire story. First, I can read and interpet for myself. Second, I attended enough vacation bible weeks/revivals to last me an entire lifetime not to be fooled by misquotes or "fake" interpetations.

1 Tim 6
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
:whistling

Sorry gang--I couldn't resist.

i had plenty people around me that use to push their beliefs on me. we all can read the same bible but all get different interpretations. I believe as a christian we do have certain responsibilities to advise or offer informatoin but do not burden the person.

i thought this thread would've been interesting topic but the way it started off was unnecessary. let us all have an open mind and respect when discussing topics. thats what were here for. to be listen to and respected.

I agree with you 100 percent. I'm a christian, but I have always felt that scaring people to serve Jesus is not the answer. Religious Fanactics tend to think that the number of souls they "save" or convert will score them more points in theirAfter-life. My philosophy is that you can't "save" anyone. Comitting your life to God is a personal decision that one has to make for themselves. You can't make others adopt your beliefs. What people choose to believe is up to them.
