Crackas with their subtle racism

Ok I went to donate plasma the other day for the first time. They gave me this extremely large booklet to read about it, a few pages into it,they had hiv risk sheets, the first one listed risks..one of them "If you have been in jail for more than 72 hours"..I was thinking ...what.... then next came a nice sized map of africa,and on the top it..country with highest risk for HIV-1..then they asked if i had been in jail for 72 hours or had sex with someone from africa since 1977.. Damned Crackers..made me sick..with that jail stuff and the map of africa, they might as well have said if you're black you're at high risk for hiv.

Right,but the thing is i will never go back, they couldnt take my plasma because of my seizures, after the map thing,and seeing all them white folks in lab coats with needles..i got freaked out.
Planned Parenthood i'm not going back in there either, I showed them my HIV test results,and they said we're not going to add that to the file because If it becomes positive..you'll have insurance problems. I wanted to ring that heffa's neck, i told her it will never come back positive,and she looked at me like yeh whatever

they wasnt being racist. black people have the highest HIV infection rate in the U.S. and Africa has an AIDS epidemic going on. and if you are black you are at risk for hiv infection....

i don't know why we as black people are in denial about this AIDS issue thats killing our people. the 1st step in stoping this disease from killing us all is to quit putting the blame on others for this disease and start taking responsibility for our own actions.

Yeah, we got problems alright. AIDS is wiping us out in Africa. As for the title of the topic, I'm glad to say I don't have too much experience with subtle racism from white folks. I think I scare the hell out of them. lol

why wouldn't they add your test results to the file at planned parenthood? what kind of file was it, was it a records file that the info for national stats on HIV infection is gathered on or something else?


to play devil's advocate and go a little off topic, these stats are shakey if a higher percentage of black people are being tested in america than whites...

So i wouldn't have insurance problems if i caught it..im like..........okayee.... Well my test results, just had my number and date of birth. I feel you on the devil's advocate part..i found a site too that shows things that can make test results a false positive

SORRY if this off topic-This just happenned to me today and I went off in the store !.I was in the store with my sister looking at these baby phat sandals she wanted to buy- there was a rather large selection of shoes and she was trying to decide which color she wanted when she asked me "what is she looking at?" I turned around and this big-and I do mean big security guard was trying to peek at us through some clothes. My sister said ,she was walking and saw us and stopped dead in her tracks and started peeking at us- tell me people -how can you be a huge and I do mean huge security guard and hid behind something thin as h**l naturally me..I asked her "Can I help you?" she stood there looking stupid. I said ,"LOOK THERE IS SOMEONE STEALING IN HERE SOMEWHERE YOU BETTER GO FIND THEM AND LEAVE US ALONE.!" I was so angry!!!The owner {which was a sister} asked me what happenned..I told her I don't like shopping and being spied on as I shop-then I proceeded to tell her that guard will make you lose all your customers..she apologized and left..I was still angry..WHY IS THIS B***S**T still going on even in OUR stores??
