What time does the movie start?
The newspaper says that the movie starts at 2:10. I arrive around 2:00, buy my ticket, maybe some popcorn, go take my seat. Then I sit through 5 minutes of "slide show" local advertising, except for the new theater in Wake Forest has local ads with sound. Then the theater gets dark at 2:10, and fun begins.
Advertising, for how long? Coca-Cola, Pepsi, US Army, Fandango, the theater concession stand. Now come the trailers (didn't we used to call them previews?)....for how long, how many coming movies?
What time does the movie start? And where is my cartoon?

I think there is a bill in the NYC City Council to post actually movie start times. It's a damn shame when gov't has to step in and announce the actual start times to movies. They could chill with all the commericals

They should start the movie before the popcorn gets cold.

It's Like That
Due to the current financial restraints the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

i can't remeber where but there is one movie theater that has started to list acutal movie times, the only problem would be those who would normally arrive early and get to the movie late walking all in front the screen and stuff.

In Atlanta, you better add 20 minutes to the announced start time. Ads are ridiculous.

Where I live, we add 15 minutes to the start time.
