They've all had issues, but their issues weren't with being African American. I don't see them as indivduals who are confused about who they are or where they've come from. Hell, their issues with the law were rooted from them being in the hood a lil too much.

Michael and the MUSLIM issue, I'm sure Michael never wanted to be Muslim. That's my point, it's obvious he called on them just for backing purposes. That's why it's wrong. Which is my point exactly.
Hey PK,

I disagree with you about Puffy and R. Kelly, they did carry themsleves like their ish didn't stink and their demeanor has always suggested to me that they owed the black race nothing, as far as being responsible and setting good examples for those who admire them. R. Kelly was definitely confused about who he was because he was living a lie, while singing about something else, and then whenever he got into trouble he'd play his "God" card. IMO

I'm for ALL of our people making it and being able to enjoy what some of us can only imagine, but when we selectively see the wrong that MANY of them are doing, it takes away from our long standing virtue of being able to take the truth head on and deal with because it's RIGHT and not because it's convenient.

Michael didn't call on Islam, Jermaine did and suggested it to Mike, so why wouldn't a man take the advice of his brother?

I respect your opinion and I appreciate the way that you countered me in such a decent manner, but I'll probably agree to disagree on this and meet you in the next thread, how about that?
