just had to vent - spoiled kids

I know i got whoopins when I was younger and my mother and all ther siblings got disciplined as well when they were kids but why are they letting their grandchildren run over them now? and its funny cause they all critize eachother about their grandkids yet they doing the same thing.

I am very disappointed with my mother and sister, my niece is going to be 10 and she is extremely spoiled. When she don't get her way she throws temper tantrums pout til they get whatever it is for her. She then trys to sass talk me and my brother or any other adult, when anybody else try to set her straight these 2 accuse them of being immature, they don't ever tell her no or do anything to discipline her at all so she thinks she can treat everyone the way she does her mom and grandma which is very sad.

That happens often. A person got the shiiit beaten outta them as a kid and does not wanna be that way with their own kids....but they were never shown the right way to teach without being savage about it...so they dont do anything and let the kids get away with murder. Grandma probably feels bad for how she was and is overcompensating along with the daughter.

I dont hear of this from people whoes parents used reasonable ways to control them and didnt whip them for everything. One extreme often breeds another. Where ever you find a black parent letting the kids run while.....there is a good chance they were beaten to a pulp being raised in the other stupid extreme....happens all the time unfortunately.

This may be why we have so many problems with our children today. An appropriate swat never hurt anyone.

Today kids don't get the whoopins we did, and they aren't afraid of anything.The sad thing is the un ruly children grow into un ruly adults.

Kids need to have their azzez kicked. And here's why: Adults understand reasoning and consequences more easily than kids. Adults also understand that there is a difference between respect and fear.

Kids don't understand reason and the concept that consequences are the direct reaction of even the smallest deeds. Where respect is a control mechanism for adults, it does not work with kids until they get older.

Unfortunately some measured amount of fear is a clear motivator and teacher to kids. Why do you think the kid after being warmed verbally by mom, dad, and grandma, only complies after burning his hand on the stove?

Society (White Amerikkkan culture) has forced blacks to reluctantly change the way we rear our kids and as a result are becoming JUST as disrepectful as white kids are to their parents.

Anyways.....I wont bother because it seems black people only believe in extremes....and I cant have convo with such types.

It it ain't broke, don't fix it..................If it worked for grandma, and mama, it will work for you. Bottom line, my 12 year old is almost taller than me. The time out corner is a joke. When he walks out of my house and gets in trouble with the police, are they going to give him a time out???? NO. So I want him to fear me just as much as he fears them that way he will listen to my rules and prayerfully never have to have a run in with them. Bottom Line!!

The only thing I can do with a spoiled kiddo is to send them back to mommie and daddy dearest. but I won't tolerate it.
