Lady at library: I wanna check out these books

Co-worker: Can I see your card (after a message saying she's "BLOCKED" on the computer)

Miss your card is BARRED

Lady: I'm new I don't know what happened

Co-worker: Well you can't check out and it says you had your card for 3 years

White Lady (of course): No that's work some one must be under my name

Co-worker: No you are blocked because you had 4 replacement cards



As I walk by taking care of another customer....

Lady: He gave me this card and set up my new account he must have messed it up

Me:

Co-worker: Why did you block her card if she just paid for a replacement?

ME: I never seen this lady before and I would never block anyone's account unless they had some missing items.....and her account doesn't say anything nor has my initials anywhere in her records so it had to be something done elsewhere

Lady:.....................

Co-worker: I'm going to talk with the manager about this.

Lady (with an oh sh!t look on her face)

Me (with a f--k you look on my face): Can I help the next bas--- I mean person

Co-worker: You had this card done at another branch

And the truth is revealed.....

Lady: oh I left my card in the printer machine LIKE I JUST DID BEFORE I GOT IN LINE
I think they found it there

Co-worker: Yeah and he had nothing to do with it because we go by different practices here!

Me: SMFH

Lady:............Ummmmmm ok (runs out the door leaving her card on the counter.....AGAIN)

Co-worker: Well since she left her card AGAIN I'll just leave her account Blocked

Me: Still SMDH

I admit, I am a gum cracker/popper. However, I wont be so rude as to do it in the presence of others. I know it can be annoying. I can not stand it when people put gum anywhere besides the trash can...I always end up with it on the bottom of my shoe or ewww, touch it when its stuck under a table.
