Martha Stewart Is A Free Woman Now?
Why oh why did they release that troll from "Camp Cup Cake"? Apparently it was ok for her to invest and sell bad stock. If that had been me, they would've not only thrown away the key, but I'd be in there for life.
:av-50556: Now their gonna give this woman not one but two more shows to indulge. It'll be a few weeks before she gets her major interview. (Can't wait to see the TODAY show or Good Morning America. Their gonna eat it up like a bowl of grits) in the morning.
Knowing Barbara Walters.. she'll get the first interview with her. Then Oprah will call it an Exclusive.
I just had to get this outta my system because I'm quite sure her (Marthas) pooches aren't eating Purina Dog Chow or Kibbles 'n Bits. They'll prolly be grubbin' on Steaks and Lamb Chops.

It's Like That
Due to the current financial restraints the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

It's disgraceful, how she's being celebrated as some kind of hero. She deserves the same kind of treatment that many convicted felons, black or white receive.
Now I have always been a proponent of giving people that serve their time in prison a new start, and not continue to punish them after their completion of service of their sentence. But our society as a whole does not agree with me.
The festive celebration of Martha Stewart, convicted felon, shows a glaring hypocrisy in our society. Yes it's racial, but much of it is all about social class and money.
Here are the major issues I have with this entire issue:
1. Martha Stewart never admitted or acknowledged wrongdoing. She never even hinted at an apology. Up until now, this has always been an integral part of a convicted criminals 'growth'; accepting your wrong as judged by your peers, repent, and move on to a productive life.
2. Shes' being celebrated for a crime she commited, and tried to cover up.
3. They are hailing her as some kind of tough, down to earth woman, because she did less than half a year in a 'cupcake' prison. Why aren't my people being celebrated when they are release after 20 years of WRONGFUL incarceration? It barely makes the headlines.
4. She gets to resume a cheif operating/management role in her company. I thought the SEC had guidelines against Felons running companies?
<rant>
They convey her time in prison in a light that shows Martha to be much different from what we know her to be. In prison, she's down to earth, pleasant, cooperative, friendly. Uh, perhaps that's what Prison does to people like Martha. Perhaps she realized that she better fly right and straight, and with the adivce of her attorneys and public image advisors, she could create this new persona and make all this work in her favor. Perhaps she understood that in Prison, people don't give a shiizzle about who you are. Perhaps her highness got jacked up in the shower the first night there, and decided to get some ackrite in her..............</rant terminated>
When wealthy whites go to prison, they are victoms, and celebrated as heroes. When wealthy blacks go to prision, well you don't here about them anymore.
Amerikkka is something else..................

This is sad and we cant even say its because she got money because if this was a black person with money they wouldve gotten the same treatment that any other black person got. I'm not going to waste my time watching her on tv because that will only make her richer in the ratings and i always thought her shows were pretty boring anyway. Im not going to waste my money buying her bedsheets because that will only make her richer in life. I give her props because she can basically do what she wants and take a vacation for doing so because thats all her jail time was, a low budget vacation.

Thanks for the idea on the boycott NAS. My wife is an incredible home decorator, so although I don't wish to audit all the nice things she buys that beautify our home, I will make a point that we need to boycott her items.
Why boycott her? Isn't that what they would do if it was Kobe, OJ, Oprah or any other black?
Chris Rock said it perfectly. I don't remember the exact words in one of his standup pieces, but he effectively made the point that:
In Amerikkka, The rules for blacks and whites getting rich are different. Blacks can get rich, they just can't break any laws or harm others doing it. Whites can get rich anyway they can.

I'm going to be the voice of reason....Martha has been the only high profile person to be convicted of this. Ken Lay stole from an entire company, raided pensions, lied about how well his company (enron) was doing, forced unneeded rolling blackouts in California, and has not seen ON GD DAY INSIDE A JAIL CELL. Charges have not even officially been brought against this man. My aunt and uncle lost their entire pension because of this man. And all people talk about is Martha. Personally, I read the magazine, only because my subscription was paid for, and a lot of the ideas I implement in my own home, as well as from other designers and magazines and black people as well. I think she deserves a second chance just like everyone else. The media could have very well have chosen not to camp out of the jail (mind you they did the exact same thing for Bobby Brown's guilty ***) because it's really not that newsworthy. I know I better see them outside the jail when an innocent black man went to jail for rapping or murdering someone when in fact they did not.
But where's the outcry for the 1000's of Enron employees who lost because of Ken Lay? I'll tell you why.....GEORGE W. FREAKIN BUSH....They're buddies. If Martha had been a friend of George, she'd not see the inside of a jail.....EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

All of the comments I viewed this a.m. regarding Stewart's release have tried to take the edge off of the new label that she is now sporting which is that of, "ex felon" with the word application of "white collar crime." Hmmm? Is that supposed to put her a cut ABOVE blue collar felons? A crook is a crook is a crook. Go figure.
