I'm a fan of letting a motha fo know how it feels to be on the other end too. My moto is "treat folks how you wanna be treated." And that goes for EVERYBODY...young and old alike (for the most part). I, myself don't expect someone to treat me better than I treat them.

I totally agree. I had this happen to me as a cashier and I would return their payment method the same way it was given to me. One idiot had the nerve to demand that I put it in his hands. I politely set the payment method on the counter, with a smile, then his receipt next, and told him to have a nice day. Fool!

I feel you. I hate when people put money on the counter instead of putting it in your hands. I think that is so disrespectful and rude. When I worked retail years ago that is the one thing that would just burn me up inside. But I always would say to myself to keep from going off on somebody - don't stoop to the other person's level, just because they are rude and tackless does not mean that I had to act that way to.

my daughter who 's 19 told me about an incident at a well known hardware store she worked,a well older white guy got all upset and was giving her a hard time because she couldn't do what he wanted her to do,(store rules)she tried to explain,it was concerning a store card that had expired or something...anyway ...when he went to pay with money..he threw it at her...others in line notice his nasty attitude.she said at first she just looked at him(she was angry),but then picked it up...said she didn't throw it back...but she sit it on the counter.the next white guy smile,and ask if she was alright and others said he was rude...after all the customers had left she asked to be relieve in order to go cry in the restroom! that made me mad!...i know i would have lost my job!
