One can go back and forth all day debating rather or not Stern is racist. You're going to have to define racist before I can answer that question, but generally speaking, I'd say no. As long as you think it's funny, who cares if he or members on his staff may be racist. Is Dave Chappelle racist? Who cares; it's funny. Actually, the two members that are probably the most racist (Sal and Artie) are the most entertaining for me.
He has characters like Daniel Carver on the show because they are idiots and fun to goof on.
The bigger question is, are the majority of his fans racist. That's a definite yes. As a group, they are low class, uneducated, racist, closed-minded morons. Go poke around sternfannetwork.com to see what I mean. Beware. Reading that forum will definitely give you a headache. Not the flat out racism, but the unintellectual, one word, one sentence posts, replies and subject lines that offer little or no value.
