A question. Are our anti-white biases healthy?

I am inclined to think you end up becoming that which your thoughts dwell upon. As anyone can tell from reading the posts on any black oriented forum on the internet, we spend a _lot_ of time complaining about white folks' devilment. Now, I happen to think that a _lot_ of white people give us all sorts of compelling reasons to hate them. But, is it healthy for us to give in to all that hate?

One thing fifty-five years of life has taught me is that if your thoughts dwell long enough on some thing, you end up becoming that thing. The state of Israel is a perfect example of this. One result of Israel's fixation on the horrors of the Holocaust is that the Israeli government has become its own form of Nazi regime, with atrocities directed against, not jews, but palestinians.

I am not saying we should pretend that a lot of white people are not putting a foot to our rear on the regular. But, I am just being realistic when I say it really ain't likely they are going to change their behavior regardless of how many times we point out their sinful ways.

So, perhaps, for our own sakes, we need to stop spending so much time obsessing over their devilment.

And, an corollary to that, is that all black people, even the more outrageous Toms like Clarence Thomas, are, in a very real sense, victims of white supremacy. Some of us react to white supremacy by turning to various The-Black-Man-Is-A-God-Among-Men theologies. Others of us end up just being mad as hell all the time. Others of us join up with white folks as a way to try and stop the pain.

But, all of us, have been victimized, even the toms and "negresses" amongst us.

Is it really so awful if a black woman happens to think Robin Thicke is a cute white boy? That should not pose a threat to individual self-esteem. Self-esteem, if it is to have any lasting value, must be rooted in Internal convictions, not External observations.

His vocal range is really limited but he has found a way, using falsetto, to make the best of it. Where his real talent lies is his songwriting. Several big name R & B entertainers in the business have made money off his tunes [Michael Jackson, Brandy, Usher].

The fact is there is a sizable group of people in our race that feels being authentically Black means you must accept low expections as the norm and denouce anything that is perceived to be White.

Hmm. Your associates definitely lacked some home training. Because, everybody who is Black knows about the Negro College Fund and that there's helluva difference between a Caucausian based college and Historic Black one ( and not just talking about frat parties and marching bands neither). Like the saying goes, a mind is terrible thing to waste. The youth of today is in trouble.

It would be more helpful to denounce white supremacy than whites themselves. Most white people are also victimized by white supremacy. But, unlike us, they don't know it.

White supremacy is purposely designed to permit a tiny minority of all white people to control everybody else, even other whites. George W. Bush and his dark overlord of the universe, Cheney, do not care, at all, about some white klansman who lives in a trailer outside the city limits of Atlanta with his dog, his pig and his toothless wife/sister/cousin.

But, white supremacy has a support network [composed of Rush, Michael Savage, and other such verbose tyrants] which is extremely efficient at convincing that klansman that it is blacks, jews, and muslims -- not the aforementioned tiny minority of whites --- who are the real reason he has to work in a quarry for a little more than no money and live in a trailer on the side of a hill with his dog, his pig, and his toothless wife/sister/cousin.

The slave culture, "ole mastar" forced on us, is still with us. This culture was designed to get us to accept the dog shack as our place, stupidity/sleaziness/dirtiness as our norm and horrid abuse as what we deserve.

The sad thing is some "brothers" have owned aspects of this warped culture, made it "cool" and are just determined to enforce its low standards, in the name of our people, without ever realizing whose wicked will they are truly enforcing. To paraphrase the Bible, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."
