Why do we dislike each other
I have found the Africans I have met to be warm, family loving people. Black Americans have disdained others of our race of a darker complexion moreso. Until the last 30 years or so the discrimination against our own black neighbors in our community that were lighter, darker or mixed has been prevalent. As to your question. I think we may disdain our African forebearers more. Why has that continent remained a 3rd world nation that feeds on itself instead of nurturing itself for centuries, how have we supported our African brothers and sisters? Have we welcomed those that come to America? Have we offered funding to aid children and women in Africa? Do we have black owned or run organizations that send help and aid to help those dying of aids, other epidemic disease or even support the drilling of wells for water? I think there may be resentment toward the African American if it exists due to our blind eye to anything that does not increase our personal bottom line or provide entertainment. Our constant pursuit of what "the man" has. Even though we disdain "the Man" is insatiable...Why cant we as a people unite and help one another instead of tearing each other down? If African Americans in this country were to start directing some of their dollars back into their communities and their peoples..instead of more and more and more material goods. I think we could really have Unity. The people of Israel, the Jewish community is a united community regardless of where they live. They welcome and support one another. They are some of the most blessed and prosperous people on the planet. Family and unity is 1st and foremost to them. We kill and leave our families and unborn children in pursuit of what? Money, fame, homes, sex, and cars... You gotta be kidding me?

"Jews" are "blessed" by whom?? You cannot compare Black peoples' situation to a so-called "jew".
I do understand where you are coming from.
You have asked a lot "whys" in your post. If we can just figure out the "why" then maybe we can began to solve these issues.

Addo stressed that Africans see African-Americans first as American. That article was written 36 years ago, but I suspect not much has changed, in that regard, since 1972.
Here in South Florida they are lots of black people from all over the world. It is my perception that black people who immigrate to America are no more comfortable around black Americans than they are around white Americans.

Relations Between Africans and African Americans: Misconceptions, Myths and Realities
Here's an interesting book I have read on the subject.
Relations Between Africans and African Americans: Misconceptions, Myths and Realities
by Godfrey Mwakikagile
Description:
Relations Between Africans and African Americans is the focus of this study by an African who has lived for many years on both sides of the Atlantic. Included are many stories by individuals who have interacted with members of both groups, shedding some light on some of the complex issues which need to be addressed to improve relations between the two.

Dam right. No comparison. Jews have taken advantage of poor, black, uneducated blacks just as other ethnic groups have done.
Did cha ever notice? What continues to behoove me is that in this country, despite DECADES of mayhem, murder and other atrocities that black people suffered and continue to suffer with, e.g. racism, capitalism and greed being at the forefront, is that the Jewish Holocaust, which occurred in Eastern Europe, with the help of historians, the mass media, so-called scholars, etc. continues to get "more play" than the same killings involving black people.
Jews do not ever want Amerikka to forget. Newsflash....black people do not either.
The "Black" Holocaust is far from over. Believe that.

At least their persecution ended in 1945.... In many respects, ours was just beginning.

Au contraire? "Beginning?" No dis, but go BACK and read OUR history again. For if slavery ended circa 1865 and the Holocaust ended with Mc Arthur in 1945....nope. Our persecution was continuing on....hence why I state the the Black Holocaust. But your point taken--txs.
