It had to have been that they were in the budget the first time we ever bought them because a cookie named Hydrox doesnt really so too appetizing, does it? lol

Every time I think about this post I get a good laugh. And you just added to it. I dont remember who made the cookies but they were generic oreos and pretty good. (my daddy R.I.P. used to buy em for me) The makers probably gave them the worst name they could think of to see how many people would buy them anyway just because they were cheap. You know, I never really took notice to the humor in this when I was eating them. lol.

I thought they were made by Sunshine. Seems as though they vanished from the shelves when Keebler bought out Sunshine. Ok, quick conspiracy theory here...Hydrox were between no-frills and oreo so obviously they were made to target consumers on a low budget, so lets...black folk. Keebler chose to no longer make them shortly after buying Sunshine out. But why? Seems to me that many people actually liked them. ISNT KEEBLER ON THE N.U.D. LIST? Hmmm?

Some research needs to be done, Oh and the never had a black Keebler elf from my memory but that's not that important to me because we make better cookies anyway damnit.
