on my investigation I saw soo many of our people shopping at these

1.'indoor swap meets' -major retailers there are non-blacks-
are they helping our community? NO!!

I overheard a lady speaking in her own language speaking against our race - to her surprise- I responded back to her in her language and told her she need to be shut down and I intend to tell our people regarding her mind state and her taking our dollars.

2.buying the hair extensions [ straight from korea/china]
3.why are we trying to look like yt??
A. IS IT BECAUSE THE HOLLYWOOD BLACKS are doing this same thing ?
AND ALL[ our people] ARE FOLLOWING SUIT?

in just one area, hair extensions, we could change our entire economy. all that would take is for black people to stop using mulattoes as our standard of beauty. love our own nappy hair.

This may seem like a small thing..but I don't think it is, especially since you pointed out the way we spend money in beauty supply shops and all with others...but

Does anybody else remember when there were black folks giving manicures and pedicures in the black hair salons?? What the hell happened? I just woke up and all the salons were being run by North Vietnam...what the hell?? How did they just take over that whole little section of the beauty industry?? Seriously, anybody know how they did that?? And how did they figure out how to do it so efficiently? It absolutely baffles me how they did this. The only time in the last 15 years I've had a black OR white person give me a mani or a pedi was at Spa Sydell...and that was a GIFT. AND they got the monopoly on arching eyebrows...really...how did they do this to us??

sisters took a bite of the magic apple and forgot how to care for themselves.....and make a bunch of money from it.
if black people wanted to, we could impoverish the entire asian community. they make all their (our) money off us.

The thing is you still have to get that license from the state to give manicures and pedicures...did we just stop getting licensed? And I'm not convinced everybody doing nails actually IS licensed. I see a license, but hell...I'm just saying..I can't believe it unless I walked up to a cosmetology class right now and nothing but Asian women and men are in there.

Right now though, asians have mastered the whole efficiency game. We couldn't compete unless we were willing to pay more for quite a while.

Something must be going on with our minds and values for them to be able to do this to us.

i don't like that word nappy! that's something i believe the white man used to discribed the texture of our hair when they brought our people from africa. take a good look at all of our hair that's 3 inches and longer...i see small waves.the rest i see tiny curls!...i refuse to call our hair nappy!

The Hair Extension is one avenue- The media has taken over the minds once again BUT WE ARE NOT TALKING to one another like we should - what do young 18-23 year old young ladies talk about?

The hair extensions portraying the 'yt ' look when are we going to STOP THIS TRYING TO LOOK LIKE THEM?

Our natural hair is beautiful why can't we leave it alone ?
