Good Morning Black People born in the United States

You know I have been in my own thoughts for the past couple of years trying to figure out are black people born in the United States divided and if so why is that? Why is it that Oparah would rather build a school overseas than here in the United States, or why is Barak Obama able to be a Presidental hopeful but not Kanye West or why white institutions hiring blacks born outside the US to teach blacks born in the US about their lineage of struggles. Who are the people that are responsible for this great division between blacks born in the US and the communities in which they reside.
Why have blacks born in the United States turned against each other. Why is it that other cultures are trying to abolish the blacks born in the US history, struggles and sacrifices as if the people who died for those people life meant nothing. Even blacks from other cultures are agreeing with whites that blacks born in the US have no culture and if so its "bad culture" . Whats up with that? Speak to me!

First off, Welcome to AC! Pretty strong stuff for a 1st post! Why the divide? That's easy, it's a crab mentality, most of us are crawling over each other to "get ahead" instead of helping one another. This mentality is to be blamed partially on yt but, we also have to take some of the blame!

Why Oprah does alot of the things that she does is beyond me. It is only my opinion but, I think she has some issues with american Blacks. It would explain alot of things.

The matter of Non-u.s. born blacks making comments about our lack of culture, etc. I'd have to hear it from the individual before making judgement but, the 1st thing that would come to mind is appeasement!!

There's an epidemic going on with other cultures telling us that the blacks born in the United States have no culture.

I have witnessed that or else I would not be making these allegations. So when a brotha like Lediam...say troll...then I have to question that brothas intelligence or ignorance to what is happening and do he understand why things are happening. I want to help I just do not know what to do and who to talk to.

Yeah a white person told me life is simple if we stick to what we know, but blacks born in the US are in my opinion a beyond and over the top culture...so if we had stuck with simple we'll still be in shackles .....but this is just my opinion.

Welcome sister. Get used to the "troll" routine if you're gonna ask the tough questions and speak the truth about the state of our community. The same thing happened to me. I guess some of us have such low self esteem that we take self critical analysis as a personal attack.

Well I am not up set at the brotha(lediamand). He is entitled to have this opinion. But thanks A Thinking Man. But when lediamand referred to me as a ##### troll that just prove all the other cultures to be true at what they think about black men born in the US and how they treat black women born in the US.
