... what the heck is wrong.

WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE REMOVE THIS WHITE-MAN MAGNET FROM MY BEHIND, AND AFFIX ONE THAT WILL DRAW BLACK MEN?!

I lurve black men, just lurve my brothas. And to go even further I really lurve BLACK, black men ... you know ... the ones who, back in the day, would be banished from the "big house". The big, black, Michael Clarke Duncan-lookin' brothas ... with unruly, nappy hair, and thick wild facial hair ... like my future-husband and father of my children, ?uestlove (Shh! He doesn't know it yet).

But ...

Why don't they lurve me? I wonder if I'm too this, or too that, or not enough this, or not enough that.

It is my experience that black men want to boink me, and white men want to date and boink me.

I don't want to date *or* boink white men.

I want to date black men, with the option to boink them later. (LOL)

There is this white (and I DO mean white: skin like fish bellies, freckly, skinny, with red hair) guy who lives in my building who keeps telling me that he'd "treat me like a queen". And I truly believe that, in his own mind, and in his own way, he really means it. He is quite the persistent li'l bugger, too, but I have no desire to be treated like queen victoria. I am of a different sort of Royalty.

So in my mind I'm like no, no, no, no, no! You need to be a BLACK MAN when you say such things to me!

He's just an example but white men have ALWAYS fallen for me, and I hate it!

first let me welcome you to afro chat. its nice to have you here with us. now back to your post....if they look anything like THE ROCK, you might wanna reconsider.....nah just kidding. look, you have preference. you know what you like and want. if you don't like them yt boys talking to you cuss them out and then they will leave you alone.

Welcome to Afro Chat! I totally feel you on the preference thing as I could have many other cultures, but "choose" to stick with my own. But in matters of the heart and love, always keep an open mind. And if you want to find true love...........stop looking for it.

Maybe I am just old fashioned and too set in my ways.

I am not into the casual sex thing - I still believe in "dating" when two people go out, have fun, spend time together, then part ways. Some guys think dating is coming over to my house and laying up while I do other things.

And then, still, some think when I suggest going out that they are expected to pay, so they decline thinking I'm trying to get in their pockets. My understanding is that if i suggest a date, then i pay. If you suggest, then you pay.

No, not old fashioned as this is how I too see it. Or maybe....................could it be that we are "both" old fashioned.

Well don't know what to say, you just attracting/meeting the wrong type of brotha. Glad you ain't switched teams and I understand and yes we can be a handful sometimes but hang in there and stop looking you'd be suprised what pops up. One thing that I've too much of is how to attract the right kind of mate when ti comes to black relationships. In all honesty, I feel like patience is the key. All those black and white guys that are attracted to you, more than likely you have to go through all of them to get to that one guy who will hold you down. Good luck and be patient.
