...I just want to give a big thanks to the Afrochat family for providing me with a board I can come onto and have quality, non-sexually oriented discussions... and not worry about popularity contests and other extracurricular B.S.

We don't agree on everything, but I've seen various different points of views of random topics that have made me think a little deeper and sharpen my analytical skills.

*sniff* I promised myself I wouldn't cry... lol

let me stop this lovefest before my reputation as a jaded cynical pessimist is ruined...

Hey man, You are the first person that I can remember to actually notice and appreciate that - absence of a sex/porn section. I feel dedicating a section to such content, takes away from the mature theme and purpose of the board.

Thanks for taking notice and value. And yes, I thoroughly enjoy the fact that we can disagree, but still be a positive part of a community.

Thank you for saying so. Recently I thought about the same thing. It's so refreshing. I rarely respond. Although I am getting better. I've lurked for a couple of years now. And I've grown in tremendous ways. As a lady, as a woman, as a friend. I've learned a lot about my culture and dealing with men and family issues. It feels good...It really feels good...

Oh, and one more thing...
I truly appreciate the way the "drama squad" is always on alert keeping things in check...lol...Gotta love it...

I always learn from those I disagree with. And that makes this board worthwhile when you can dialogue back and forth in order to come to an understanding......even if it is not so good, still......we all learn. And I'm not surprised this board doesn't have a porn section. If it had that, I think it demean what this messageboard is for.

I swear I get a little happy with the thanks button sometimes, but all of ya'll deserved it.

Anyhoo...intelligent discussion and intelligent people are what make this forum so valuable to me.

(I also note how quickly we deal with instigators and trolls...and then cease to give them any attention afterwards...) Goes a long way towards keeping things positive, informative, and ever progressing...

Ditto. I checked out a couple of other forums first. Joined one the same day I joined AC. I think I posted on their board 2-3 times and wasn't feelin' it. I don't agree with everyone's opinions, everyone doesn't agree with mine, but I love the fact that for the most part, the differences are respected. I have also learned some things here I would not have considered.
