A money pit is never any fun whether it be a car or a house. It is a good learning process though.

Ah, Xenocide, sorry for your loss. But I must agree with Corals, the way you wrote it had me in tears - would make a great commentary or an editorial.

I was meaning to send you a private message last week about the car in your siggy, but never got around to it. I dated a guy who was madly in love with the Monte Carlo SS as well. I never understood the fascination. Neither did I know that the market was so huge and profitable for these cars. They are expensive used cars - some selling for $18,000+.

But I hope all works out for you. But since you've gone through so much with this car I WOULDN'T SELL IT. If its not your main form of transportation, keep it and fix everything that ails it even if it takes 10 more years. It will make a great conversation piece for your son (if you have one) and you can brag about all the blood, sweat, and tears you put into fixing it up.

Which reminds me - hey I've got some primal swamp land down in Boca Raton, Fla if you have any money left. Sorry, bro, couldn't resist. :)

OOHhh, we’ve got jokes now do we? Ha-ha-ha…touché sis (fk’n swamp land...).

Cars are just fascinating. A fascination that I think is embedded into the DNA of every man n’ just a few lucky women. They’re just beautiful works of art that are meant to be driven, not garaged indefinitely n’ drooled on, that aspect of the fascination I cannot understand. A '66 Shelby Cobra 427 went for 5 mil. at the Barret-Jackson Car Auction n' I know that's exactly what's going to happen with it, hell it'll happen to the cars that went for just 100 stacks. Anyway, I was fortunate enough to actually have a “dream car” (one of ‘em anyway), which turned out to be a nightmare, as my first car. And in turn I’ve gotta deal’ with the reparations that come with it.

I’d like to keep it given all the b.s. I’ve been through with it but I’m beginning to say “**** it” more n’ more. Either way I’ll bbl w/an update if I shake anything.

Thanks.

I still have the SS. We (n' by we I mean my father) got out there last week n' fixed my brake problem. Needed a new master cylinder. I can't tell you how much money that man's saved me.
