I think you should be thankful at this present time that you were pulling from a stop sign and not on the street, because if you were, God's knows what could have happened.
After you have given thanks, go and sort those mechanics out, and find out what exactly went wrong.

You should really be happy it happened when and where it did but also pissed off to the highest degree of pisstivity about the shoddy work that was done on your car. So I take it that your upper ball joint came apart from the control arm.

Yeah, that's what it looks like. We'll get out there in the morn. jack it up n' see if we can fix it. Doesn't look like anything broke off...just the damn thing disconnected from the looks of it. Tow truck had to put it on backwards n' o/c that front wheel was draggin' while puttin' it on n' takin' it off...if something bent in the process then I'll have to have it towed again to the shop. Hopefully that wont be the case. I really don't feel like shelling out anymore $$$ on this car..$85 just to tow it back to my crib, n' I literally live 2 min's away from the Home Depot where I broke down.

Thankful
Be very thankful that you were stopped. I was in an accident the day before thanksgiving but thank God both trucks hit the van I was riding in where passengers were not sitting. A little sore but all is well.
It is okay to be upset, but don't let it get you to the point that it overshadows your life. Be mad for about five minutes and then ...breathe...and say, I could have died. Thank ya', Jesus and keep trucking. Go to the guy who messed up your car and get it done right.
Stay up and let nothing drag you down.

Whew!
It's fixed. Thanks to my father I saved a few hundred. It's what I thought it was too, nothing actually broke. Just the a holes didn't tighten the screw back on properly and on top of that they didn't put the cotter pin back in.

Glad you got it done properly now and there was no additional damage. I replace front end parts on my job and I'm meticulous about properly torquing the castlatted nut and inserting the cotter pin on every part. It could mean the difference between life and death. I have a retired Seabee buddy that told me one of his co workers at the VA state police shop did the same thing to a cruiser that was done to your car and the thing fell apart on the interstate. Luckily nobody was injured in that case.
