Well. :whistling

I applaud you for you honesty. There are many things afront here concerning the subject. The most important is the mindset of the females discussed here and the mindset of those who are "offended" or "irked". Does some of this look like a hot ghetto mess? Of course, but again its the mindset. There are some good looking full figured sisters who know how to dress. Now those women you speak of, again represent a mindset. The mindset is no different than some some one who is say 110 lbs, with strings of a thong being flat out displayed on some sisters with the low rising jeans. (My opinion that is just nasty).
Everybody does not have a body like Janet. (Nor should they). Hell, I dated a "broad" who often forgot to eat. Then when she would, she would not gain a pound. (good for her) Be that as it may, esteem issues are at the root of the problem. Monique can not be blamed for a problem that has white supremacy roots In the days where our sisters are being stripped literally of their dignity by these buster arse rappers in videos and lyrics, why be suprised at the "attitudes" of some sisters. We can bring up issues of diet, exercise, yada yada yada. I have met some fat head women with "dime" piece bodies. A sister is a sister to me. If you a cool chick, you get points. If you a "head case" then you get a quick exit.
At the end of the day its about how you treat everyone. Its not about how they are dressed, its about how you address them. They are queens regardless, no matter how "crazy" they look. You should always respect the office, no matter who it is, how they appear. Its about your attitude and your power to extend love. Otherwise in my small opinion, you do those sisters and yourself a tiny amount of damage.

you know, i'm actually sick of topics like this. I'm all for stating your opinion and expressing your views....but to me the title of the thread was not meant to 'enlighten'...it was meant to offend IMHO...

I'm a big girl, I wear what I want when I want and make sure it looks appropriate for someone my age and size....wait a minute, i don't have to defend this either....

discrimination against smokers and fat people, it's the last safest way to hate.

i leave that to the scamming insurance sales men who prey on you with the 'your kids won't take care of you, they'll just put you in a home and wait for you to die then sell everything you own in an estate sale.' I've actually heard someone who used to be a friend use that sales pitch....sad sad sad...

Many of us young folk RESPECT and HONOR our elders, Brother James. Those who do not aren't worth your time.

Much respect,
Sister Celeste
