I saw an exerpt of that web-site through the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) web-site. It is sick, but it is another example of the racism spreading through the Internet.
I tried to have a conversation with a white person regarding modern African and they could not see the effects colonialism had/has on Africa. I ended the conversation when he started talking about racism and colonialism are gone and it's all about personal responsibility these days.

But don't they always go back to the "that was then, this is now" argument? As if past occurences have absolutely no effect on current events, (unless it was a hisorical event that affected white people negatively) it's laughable man.

@ Shankems and Terrence...ain't it the truth? The white masses are so far removed (with conscious and unconscious thought) from simply refusing to accept historically, the racism (coupled with the after-math) that they have committed on minorities. Talk about arrogance!

SUCH a good point, shankems...try telling a White person "that was then, this is now" when they start spouting on and on about their glorious White "settler" ancestors(and the numerous tales of braving the "wild Indian hordes"[original First Nation Americans] as they "explored"[invaded] and "traded" [exploited]and "settled"[appropriated, murdered and stole] or pontificating about their rich White slave-holding male ancestors who "founded" this country. :whistling
I just want to shake em by the lapels and shout, "That was then, this is now...and you're looking into the eyes of a woman whose ancestors really did help build this country...so get ready. A change has come to pass!"

Amen to that, sister! I'm annoyed by the same stuff you all are. I wonder if any of them ever think about the fact that the same people they can't stand to be around are the ones serving in military overseas for their racist a$$es, or have service jobs (policeman, firefighter, etc.) that require putting their lives in serious jeopardy to protect THEM.

The inability to accept or share responsibility in the name of repairing past wrongs no matter who committed them is just a manifest of todays white racism. Since white racism is not supposed to be made public now, it just comes out in more subtle ways.

Amen, Terrence. I think that you're preaching to the CONGREGATION here!
"Since white racism is not supposed to be made public now, it just comes out in more subtle ways."
Yes! And this "subtle" racism has now been coined, "the new racism." I read this many year's ago in an article in Ebony mag. WTF!! This was my initial thought...what is "new" about racism? Simply, "new socks, OLD shoes."
And white folks really DO think that yesterday's atrocities have no bearing or affect on black folks TODAY? Because they do not nor have white folks ever given just thought or cause to black dynamics. The struggle continues!

This topic reminds me of a co-worker friend of mine who is trying (along with the help of her husband) to find a house. She told me about how the realtor they had (a white lady) started off by offering them a house where the neighborhood was terrible, low property value, and basically where 'us folk' are predominately. How much more subtle can you be when you offer black people a home in a run down side of town, before even having a chance to ask what price range they were looking for? For all she knew, they could have been a very well-to-do black couple who wanted to live in the more pricey subdivisions. I guess they figure we aren't worthy of any better than the slums.
