Im poor, im white, and there are more poor white people then there are rich white people. Its just numbers, most of the people in America are white, therefore there are going to be more rich white people then rich black people. Maybe the ratio is a little in favor of the white people, but that is due to the fact that white people were here longer. The occurance of rich black people is on the rise too, times are changing, and your gonna have to realize that we are one and the same. A poor black man and a poor white man have more in common with eachother then they do with a rich person of their own race.

I believe I should avoid gatherings that are too heavily white -- Anglo white -- unless I know the gathering to be more liberal. Liberal: left leaning Anglo or Italian, Armenian, mixed, Jewish, Hispanic, etc. And, even at some Liberal gatherings some guys/gals are not always that "liberal." Experience tells me some liberal guys can have some dangerously racist friends & relatives.

In the highly integrated Bay Area, knowing who is a racist is not always obvious. Years ago, as a kid, there were some racist guys/gals who routinely had relations with certain blacks -- even intimately. I stupidly assumed that one such person must be racially tolerant because she had a black friend but it did not take long for reality to assert itself.

Now, I know it is only certain of the most aggressively hateful whites (like local neo-nazi types) who reject all N-words. Some more insidious conservative (slave master types) whites could accept a black presence as long as he/she was a good boy. These only hate "bad" negroes.

I've also learned to watch out for certain blacks who will set you up in order to please their master. Living under the white shadow seems to produce a number of that type.
