I bring this to your attention for...obvious reasons

The story behind the Resident evil game series is that a drug company under the government develops some miracle drug that stops aging by reviving dead cells which.........creates zombies.

The game series took a slight political sway and the drug has become a "rage" drug of some sort. This basically where it all started....IN SOUTH AFRICA there is much controversy behind it being in that country and all the black faces being killed by a white man hell bent on "doing his job"

Also play in the back of your mind the 28 days later-28 weeks later movie story lines.

As I learn more of the story line I will bring it all here but first I would like you to take a look at the trailer of the game and give me your first thoughts of what you think about it.



I can tell you I don't like what I see.

The first time I heard of this story line, my jaw dropped at the ordacity of them to have a game of just shooting African people. I then tryied to see what statement they were trying to make but still couldn't be convinced that this was being made on some noble terms or political rightousness.

If they wanted to make it seem better the placing of a black character in the place of this white man would have made it seem "Oh this brother is trying to figure out how this happened in his home land".....but they didn't and putting a black face on something blatantly racist. But they went a different route, they added a very mixed looking black woman to stand beside the white man to aid in the "JOB"

Oh yeah there are a few monsters and white people to shoot but the object is still the same kill more sick poor black people.

Not a good look, but then again the movies tell you what is really going on and what is about to happen desquised as entertainment.

Well.

The gaming industry is no different than any thing else in this world. I will say that it can be considered "disturbing" but to me, it is no different than the Grand Auto Theft series which promotes criminal activity and all its glory in the hood. All of it is exploitation. We cant get pissed at this and not be pissed at other games. Sure it looks like Shay whitey to the rescue but, its nothing we have not seen and sure its art imitating life but it is what it is. I dont make light of it but unless we are willing to come down on those who reinforce stereotypes and promote criminality we are hypocrites at the end of the day. Its wrong but then again a whole lot of other stuff is too.

I dont know, maybe I dont get what the hype is...I just see a video game with some awesome looking graphics...but Im not much of a game player, to be honest, & I dont read too much into it either way...

that video game is awfully disturbing and violent. that's not the only one though, SAN ANDREAS game shows way too many gang killings and robbing. it's just ridiculus. i had to fight my son into getting it and throwing it away. he was showing this mess to my 10 yr old and i sure didn't want him thinking that this is appropiate to watch. the government need to put this game garbage in the trash with SAN ANDREAS game.

I dont know about that one...they were quick to take the Haitians off of Grand Theft Auto (I think it was the Vice City series). If they get enough complaints about this game, it could change or alter the game just so its "acceptable" to the public.

About San Andreas, since the main character was a black man (named CJ), I found it disturbing...not only because of the violence & the fact that he was a criminal...but you were allowed (and recommended) to have multiple girl friends---and keep them ALL happy. You had to screw them to gain new outfits---one for pimping---to gain a health & "sexuality" level as well. Not to mention, his very first girlfriend is a black woman. She was living in a house that looked a lot like those houses did in the movie "Friday". One girlfriend was a redneck & one a trailer-ho. (yes, I said) Most of them was white...one a latina of european decent...smdh.

Other than all the problems, Im of age & a serious gamer; that I personally aint gonna change.
I do believe they should tweek what they do in these games.
