Normally I'm always interested in a good 'riot', but as history has shown us... we riot in our own neighborhoods, destroying our own properties, and forced to live in the aftermath for at least 6 months before they come and clean it up. Either way, they may have insurance, and simply collect and reopen the store in question.
If you want the neighborhood to stop being faced with these issues, make sure that these stores do not earn a living.... If you have drunks in your neighborhood and they go to a bodega, have him go to the black store to get his drink on... or simply send that dude to AA

It goes simply past arabs doing so... is it okay for one of your own to sell you poisons? Would the question even be posed if the person wore a blackface?

That's where it's at right there. Unfortunately what we don't realize is that all of us on here, online, on this website are not the persons who would REALLY be affected if these Arab stores were to close down. I mean, technically I probably fall somewhere under the alcoholic umbrella(as does anyone who drinks socially), but i'm not back and forth to the liquor store in the hood everyday. The ONLY reason these people come to our hood and give us what our people want is because we've allowed it by patronizing their businesses. I know it's much deeper than that but you can't just blame our vices on the fvckin' government. WE keep them in business. The best thing we can do at this point is to open our own businesses in direct competition of theirs in the same geographical locations.
Face it, we're gonna always have Winoes and crackheads, drug addicts, etc. in our hoods and our families...that's not gonna ever stop. The only way we can begin to combat "economic terrorism" is to go to war and start making money like them smart a$$ Arabs.

Exactly, which means people just need to find a liquor store/ pawn shop with the owner of their own color and the complaints on this would cease... this country was built on the blood, sweat, and tears... as well as vices of the middle/lower class, it is not terrorism, it's capitalism... biased as it may be, it is still a capitalistic problem and the answer could only come through it as well.

Opportunists will stop selling booze and drugs in the hood when people who live in the hood stop buying booze and drugs. There is _no_ other solution. Even if we formed a posse and burned every crack/booze house to the ground, in a month there would be new ones because we would not have done anything to get rid of the demand.

Not to mention the type of decay that would be caused to our own neighborhoods if those buildings/establishments dont get turned over. There is already a movement to gentrify a lot of places in America, why give them a helping hand?

It also wouldn't hurt to start getting people to look at their own behavior.

I don't know how long I have been saying the same thing.

Well not the thing is, how do we mobilize our people to put them on the track of not buying from these vampires?
Any suggestion? What I see is a people who have condoned this with their behavior by default; Plus there is not grass roots movement to stir them to get to the point of not patronizing these insects who drain us, sell us bottom of the pit merchandise, don't give nothing back to the community in any term, etc...
They already know what is going on and they still spend money because the options are very few if any. How do we give the people hope and iniative to do otherwise?

They are going to gengrify with or without our "help." How do you keep the powers that be from gengrifying your/our neighborhoods to began with?

When is the last time you've seen a perfectly controlled anger response to something like this and it just stayed on one building? What about in neighborhoods where buildings are adjoined and the impact could effect other community assets? That establishment you're so willing to rush and burn down will have more devastating impacts than the ones you hope to clean up. Not to mention the level of decay it would add to help further today's popular real estate tactic. We'll also pretend that insurance money is not a factor either.

If someone was standing right in front of you with a gun and the intention of murdering you, you're the type to offer to help them line up a good shot and apologize about not being able to help them clean up the mess? Congrats, with this mindset you've become completely domesticated and yet you still manage to make personal attacks against me while leveling assertions about how hopeless the situation is.
