I am as big a proponent of free speech as there is. I believe individuals and groups have the right to be as ignorant as they want to be as long as it does not infringe upon the rights and liberties of anyone else. Therefore, I generally disagree with the complaints against artists (any type) based on the fact that although I personally dislike many of the messages, its their right to speak (rap, sing, act, whatever) their "art'. And even though the thought of watching even 2 minutes of shows such as Flavor of Love or I Love New York reduces me to violent pains in my head...I respect the individual choices of those clowns to portray themselves as modern day minstrels.

I also understand the intrinsic harm that can be done to an individual or group (i.e. US FOLKS) by these very artists and TV mammies & step n fetchits. I do know that there is actual harm done simply by the images alone. It reinforces dangerous perceptions about women and men of color every single day, particulary to those who are young and may not have positive influences in their day-to-day life to combat what Sony, BMG and Viacom throw out every hour on the hour. However, the liberal "we can't legislate morality" side of me always prevails and I still see more harm in censoring art (even if its not art but crap masquerading as art). I believe in not supporting those artists thru financial means or their sponsors, but to actually deny a person, any person the right to say what they want, regardless of my personal feelings, is too far...........until today.

Today, I viewed this. Today I watched this and realized my right to the minutes I spent watching it, were gone forever and could not be retrieved. Today, I saw this and lost at least a fourth of my brain cells that are probably too scared to re-generate themselves. What this video is right here, is not anybody's right. Mind you, I went to school in Florida during the peak of Miami Bass - 2 Live Crew, Poison Clan, 95 South, Clay D....and yet still, not anything I ever witnessed in person, on the bootleg concert video or Freaknik or anywhere else, registers close to this....this.....I can't even describe it. I could find a redeeming quality in a gay porn flick before I find it in this. After watching this, I'm just gonna wait on the rapture, because if its come to this, that's all we have left.

But as a proponent of free speech, if some women or men want to be in a video, I could care less, as long as they are adults. There are lots of dishonorable professions out here and I would be exhausted attacking everyone of them. What these women are doing is no different than Halle Berry getting naked and slutting on camera to earn an oscar. It's no different than actors who participate in willful and wanton violence on the silver screen. Is it morally repugnant? Yes, I do not desire to legislate peoples social preferences that don't infringe on the civil liberties of another.

What I do care about is the influence they may have on non-adults who we have the responsibility in raising with good moral foundations.

Being pro gay in any regard is definitely not, in any way, respectable. But what do I know, I'm old school.

So, to summarize, there is a lot of self-respect going on, for that almighty dollar. Let's not get caught up in those that are small and inconsequential.

This is really sad. I rarely post anymore for obvious reasons. I don't break the rules. I don't disrespect other members. And I don't engage in negative behavior. So after a couple of weeks of being away, I come on, and my profile is in good standing. I post TWO replies and all of a sudden I'm in the red and my rep points and number of thanks having been drastically reduced. I guess there isn't as much freedom of expression as maybe there once was!

If you have an issue with your profile, the right way to handle it is contact us and allow us to look into your assertions. You don't have a right to falsely accuse the staff for any reason; especially on the open board.

...and finally, if anyone wanted to take away your freedom of speech, you wouldn't have nearly hundreds of posts, so please, spare the community the victim routine.

i really don't know how to apply to this. it's thier choice and i hate to see beautiful sistas putting themselves in a downgrading position.

but what i can say, some of this sistas might not have a dipolma or a GED and therefore can't get a job and figure this is something to get into. or it could be lots of reasons which i can't say at this time. i just hope that i don't walk down this road.

This type of behavior is not new, horedom has been in exitence for ages but I am thinking (and maybe i'm wrong) that it was a grown woman thing for the most part; Now it's mostly the younger generation of women (kids literally) putting themselves out there like this.

This type of behavior is being publicized more nowadays too, so you got to figure in that fact also.

I don't have a problem with anyones sexuality or how they express it but what gets me is that everyone of these girls think they can screw better than the next; They seem to believe that their stuff is tighter, they can work it better, it's cuter, got super, duper head game, etc... etc... LOL!!!

What is it that you can do that you seem to think is so special, that another woman can't or haven't done?????
