what just happened?
a person lays upon a bed. one moment they are alive. the next minute they are dead. what has happened? in that minute the chemical and physical nature of the body is unchanged. in fact, sometimes people can be brought back to life.
so, what just happened? what is it that changed? how is the body alive in one moment and not alive in the next?
what is life then?

Dang, why you gotta get all "fill-low-sof-fi-cal" on a sistah right before the holidays.
Let's see.................Life........................I define as any organism that breathes in oxygen and breathes out carbon dioxide (least that's what my health/science teacher taught us). Keeping with "my" definition, life exists because of many bodily functions working together subconsciously to carry out their assigned tasks. Deeper than the heart just beating and blood flowing, and air flowing through the lungs - but even neurons that are at work in the brain and many minute molecules that exist that we are never even conscious of. I suppose death comes into play when one of these major components malfunctions and throws the path of synchronization off the chemical path.
Yes, of course I'm just babbling, and let me be the first to admit it - I haven't a clue. I'm just glad I'm alive, even though I don't claim death as one of my fears.

Uh, the chemical and physical nature of the body is CHANGED, which is the reason for their death.
Therefore, there's nothing to 'analyze'.

It appears that the electrical impulses through the heart and body are extremely low, almost to the point of nil. This person probably needs some electolytes administered pronto. It's a medical condition that slows electrical impulses down. The person could have been poisoned by a an island drug that mimics death,by shutting off nerve impulses and keep electrical neons from firing.
The person could have willed themself to leave this world. It'sconceptually possible to have the knowledge to shut down body functions.

On a strict physical analysis, the electro-chemical interdependence of the body has ceased to function. This is probably a cascading function where some large, critical organ or section of an organ in the body ceases to send to other organs signals of its health and vitality. Perhaps built into the operations of the cells (either in RNA, DNA or mitochondria) there is some threshold of signals from other parts of the body that must be maintained for that organ to continue its operation. So basically, what i'm saying is that our organs have a 'suicide switch' that gets flipped when they receive little or no information about other parts of the body.
In a more meta-physical analysis, we could say that conscious aspect of "The Unity" [call him Ament, Allah, Yahveh, Olodumare, Muntu etc] has withdrawn its consciousness from the localized being who has just 'ceased' to live. And without this link to the infinite conscious, the finite body cannot maintain the integrity and interdependence of its energy-field which either is or undergirds the animating force of the body [which then results in physical death]. I'm drawing this analysis from a smattering of memories from TOLM by Ra Un Nefer Amen (RUNA for short) and The Kaballah of the Soul by Leonora Leet.

This is something I've constantly thought about. I could be wrong but the way I see it as time moves on, our bodies adapt to how our societies change as far as health. This could include pre-caution of different chemicals introduced into our communities through foods, liquids, drugs, and etc. Or new studies on developments on health issues. In any case, the human race in most places are far removed from natural living than before with techonology developing at a faster; which affects how we take care of ourselves to a certain degree. And people will go for things in our communities that have drastic affects on the human body that weakens it to the point where it cannot function well. Just my opinion on it.
