a religious person walks in their faith and is unswerving. A schizophrenic, hears their own voice and then says he's God...

schiz·o·phre·ni·a:
1. Psychiatry. Also called dementia praecox. a severe mental disorder characterized by some, but not necessarily all, of the following features: emotional blunting, intellectual deterioration, social isolation, disorganized speech and behavior, delusions, and hallucinations.
^^^ is this what a deeply religious person is? wow. now i know there are extremes to any religion, but comparing them to a schizophrenic person is just wrong.

why? they both hear voices. they both see visions. they both believe in things we cannot see.
what is the difference? if somebody says they talk to god how do you know who is who?

^^^ i have a respect for people's beliefs, whatever they choose to believe. i refuse to compare them to someone who lives in a mental home. that's it.
the only time i've ever seen a religious person even close to schizophrenia was on that show 'Wife Swap'. and i'm pretty sure that was for entertainment.

Two deeply religious men I recall were John Coltrane and El Hajj Malik Shabazz who said clearly;
"You don't catch hell cause you are a Muslim or a Christian, or a Mason or an Elk, you catch hell cause you are Black".
There are many folks who as you during the 60s and 70s were atheist but worked right along with many churches and ministers who worked long and hard in the support of our struggle, so like were is all of this here divisive crap coming from;
if you won't even heed to what Malcom said over 40 years ago
