We can neutralize this, by instilling pride in them by letting them know of their history and culture, NOT by practically prohibiting them from forming serious relationships with others because they don't have the same skin color as themselves.

That's already happening in the minds of many of our people the world over, and you said it yourself, the youngest of our generation don't appreciate our natural hair.

Don't presume to know what I'll be teaching my children. I'll teach them to not discriminate based on other people's color, but rather how they are treated by them. And this goes concerning intimate relationships as well.

And you are well within your rights to feel that way, but don't be surprised if others, even though they maybe of the same race as you, don't feel the same.

He is lucky he could be half non Black. Thats an even more undesirable position to be in.

You sound like a watered down so-called "Black" man. How will teaching my youngins to date within their ethnic group make them discriminate against people whose skin color is not the same as theirs??
I didn't say tell them to hate people who are different then themselves. I said I would DEMAND that they make sure our people survive and specifically my families lineage through marrying another Black person. Just because you hate being Black and wish to be something other than, don't mean everyone else has to or wants to feel the same as you.
You know what, you and others can teach their children to date a dog, I don't need anyone to feel the same as I concerning this subject nor do I seek your approval.

And you sound like an angry (more than likely overweight) black woman that probably never gets approached by black men because they don't find her attractive, so you put on this hard line "separatist" demeanor to disguise your fragile emotions.

I never said that you would tell them to hate people who are different than themselves. How in the hell did you come to the conclusion that I hate being black? When did I ever allude to such feelings? You need to get off whatever it is that you're on.

Yet by making this thread to begin with, you are obviously seeking validation for your views from other afrochat members because you caught feelings when members of another site didn't share your sentiments.

I'm not seekin validation for crap, sambo. I wanted to see if we had the same type of sick people here that they do on the other board I frequent. Obviously we do; You are the best example.
You must be crazy; I am not overweight and I get approached by brothas all the dorn time.
Yes I am angry at the fact that Black people are continuely sick in the head, like yourself.
Like I said, you can teach your kids to copulate with a dog, I choose to teach mine to love who they are, other Black people, be principled and have pride in their ethnicity and heritage enough to keep it going strong. Of course you would have a problem with this.
You need to get off that drug that keeps you brainwashed.

Whenever you take a stance that is pro Black and seeks to only build up the Black community and not the white you'll have so called Blacks demeaning your choice, saying you must be open and inclusive. Hold your ground sister. Anyone who infers someone only dates Blacks because she is fat obviously has self hate issues and shouldn't be taken seriously.

When I get weary of that mindset The Dragon and Afro Saxon, I think of Dr Welsing and how she has stood strong against our own cowardly ones who genetically feel the whips of the slavemasters on their *** when anyone mentions freedom, togetherness and pro-blackness. She understands the fear and never let that deter her in their quest for our freedom. I mean dayum if you don't want it for yourself you should at least want it for your childrens, but cowards dont see it that way. They feel if we just get along and do more, master will accept us.
Be strong sisters, it is a struggle.
