can a white woman raise an authentic black man?

She can raise them well but I don't beleive that she can raise them to identify properly with Black culture. I feel that they would have to get this orientation from somewhere else, if they will accept it.

i keep getting beat down when ever i say obama is not black. i believe that if you are raised by a white woman you will not and cannot be an authentic black person. i do believe that a black mother can raise a mixed race child to be black, but not a white woman. how could she?

i'm told that obama is black. i'm told that halle berry is black. i'm even told that bill clinton is black. i think black people should decide who is black and who is not. why are white people telling us who we have to accept?

Well they are black on the sure fact that they have black blood in them. If 1 of your 2 birth parents are black then you are black regardless. I think a white woman can raise a black man but at the end of the day she's probably not gonna feed him his history because it's not her history but raise yes she could. I believe that's where the father comes in and the ? about history comes into play still because if the father really knew the history why would he have just made this mixed baby but that's just how I feel about it.

i really don't know. i see alot of mothers,white , korean, hawaiians, latinos, with half breed babies by black men. i'm agreeing with dragon and jaboom. they--mothers-- can raise them well but their children will lack the sufficent history of their african people.

but how about this......how should black mixed parents that was raised by half white parents raise their children?

There are women in every race who are excellent at motherhood...and then there are those who need a little guidance...and even still those who should be forced into sterilization.
That being said, how can someone who doesn't have the cultural experience adequately offer guidance and insight and perspective to another about that culture?

I think a white woman can do well at raising anyone, as can any of us. But it would be foolish to believe that she could do well in instilling all that is necessary and required to raise a black man child appropriately. It takes a myriad of things, the most of which, she has no idea about.
