James, I’m not sure what brought this on, but I believe any “woman” regardless of color can raise a black child. I think about Angelina and Madonna, who both are raising black children. Many were upset by them choosing to adopt black children. I on the other hand was elated that “someone” saw it in their hearts to take these children out of their previous impoverished lifestyles. Our own “filthy rich” celebrities certainly aren’t adopting “our” kids. So, how can we chastise those that do regardless of color?

As long as the woman (white, black, or camouflage) raises the child to be educated, respectful, and a productive citizen, etc. then I don’t see much of problem as there are many who were raised by black mothers and fathers and still don’t equate to shyt. Just my opinion.

I am strongly against whites raising black children. Yes, we need to take care of our kids. But whites adopting them is NOT the answer. We need to raise children who are conscious and working toward solving our problems. FaithSoulSistah, Agreed. But please explain how so many that "ARE" being raised by "our own" who are "aware" of the many qualms that plight us, but "still" they don't amount to "shyt"??? I'm not saying let "others" raise our kids, but I don't see "ANY" of "our" rich celebrities lining up to adopt any here in the states, let alone over seas. Oprah, Michael Jordan, Bill Cosby, Bob Johnson, Magic Johnson, Tyra Banks, etc are all very well off.

Bottom line: It's only a handful of "others" raising our children. The blames lies with us for not adopting/taking care of our own and raising them to be productive.
