You make it sound like the dude was in his lab last week and 'discovered' the inferiority of Africans. They've been trying to prove that Blacks were intellectually substandard since the days of colonization. There has been a lot of published research 'proving' the inferiority of Blacks. My point was the same as Meroe's, that none of this work is credible.

Of course they are not credible, never have been. I don't need to re-read especially your post and you have some good points. I was reiterating that sis Sonflor made a grand point when she pointed out that we should be concerned about who is funding these reports and why? What is their intentions? I'm glad you brought this up, Corals. Because much of the knowledge westerners possess today is plagiarized knowledge from ancient Black and East Asian civilizations. Lab suspends DNA pioneer Watson

The Nobel Prize-winning DNA pioneer James Watson has been suspended by his research institution in the US.

Dr Watson has drawn severe criticism over remarks he made in a British newspaper at the weekend.

In the interview, he was quoted as saying Africans were less intelligent than Europeans.

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory had already distanced itself from the scientist's comments but its trustee board has also now suspended him.

A statement from the Long Island, New York, institution said the action was being taken "pending further deliberation by the board".

Unreserved apology

Dr Watson was due to give a lecture at the Science Museum in London on Friday as part of a book tour. But the museum cancelled the event, saying the scientist had gone beyond the point of acceptable debate.

The Bristol Festival of Ideas has also cancelled an appearance by Dr Watson. Full story

Exactly, and it is not wrong to say that there are many people who would believe everything that comes out of a scientist's mouth. Even if a scientist were to say that there will come a time where humans would be able to communicate directly with animals, some people would probably believe him.

The press and various institutions dissing him, is simply part of the routine.
JFK distanced himself from the Bay of Pigs,
and all of the operants when it hit the press.
Rumsfeld distanced himself from his old buddy Saddam,
and Bush from his old pal Ken Lay, well after the harm was done regarding Enron.
How much harm has this man done in his "Institute of Brain Science", leaves room for enquiry.
