. And evidence will illustrate that in many school systems of poor, inner-city areas, teaching entreprenuer skills are NOT at the top of the list from grade-school throughout high school. And should be mandatory.

Samoon, I agree – teach one, reach one. They should have computer programs in schools setup like the games so many of these children play that will simulate real economic situations and they have to navigate through each one and will be graded accordingly. Give them cyber dollars and they must finish each situation with said amount of money to be given a good grade. Then at the end of each situation – the class would discuss what situation they chose and why. Then they would look at avenues they could have chosen that would have yielded more financial dollars.
Example: Johnny may have chosen to save his $20 a week allowance in a piggy bank. The teacher would interject and say this was a very good idea, but he could have put the money in the bank and it would have grown interest. Johnny would have said something like “that isn’t enough interest to say grace over.” Then the teacher would say, yes, but overtime and the more you add the more your money will grow. Johnny would go home and tell his family/friends what he learned and this would breed new “financially responsible” individuals.
