Conservative pundit, Armstrong Williams, has been paid $240,000 to vocalize his support of the No Child Left Behind Act, according to a new report by USA Today. In addition to showing support of NCLB, Williams was required to interview Secretary of Education Rod Paige on his television and radio programs.

Armstrong Williams, a columnist and radio/television host has his own show, The Right Side, broadcast mainly on Sinclair Broadcasting Group affiliates. Williams' radio program is broadcast on a mere 18 affiliates according to his website. He also serves as the CEO of the Graham Williams Group, a public relations firm he formed with Oprah Winfrey's boyfriend, Stedman Graham.

Williams' contract was part of a larger $1 million deal struck with Ketchum, a public relations firm. The deal with Ketchum provided the government with fake video news such as the scrutinized release by the Department of Health and Human Services over the new prescription drug plan.

In addition to paying Armstrong Williams for his opinion, the White House gave him a seat on the President's Commission for White House Fellowships.

Congress passed laws against the creation of propaganda by the government. Critics of the White House's paid use of Williams state that it is clearly a case of government propaganda.

Jamesfrmphilly, I tell ya, I was going to do a whole article on this TREACHEROUS, TREASONOUS, ABOMINATION, UNCLE-TOM, HOUSE KNEE-GRO!!!

On another prominent site, I TOLD blacks that right-wingers were being PAID to sit and spew the propaganda that they were spewing. There's a whole batch of them all over the internet who do nothing but get paid with OUR TAX DOLLARS to sit around and denounce blackness. I bet Armstrong under an anonymous handle was one of the abominations I was blasting. Yes, such 'colored' not even worthy to be called the noble appellation 'black' or 'African/American' would do this evil against black humanity. (oh and can you believe, polite college educated KNEE-GROS got mad at me for using the term 'colored' against them?).

This same ilk would not only blind themselves to the 'lynch' mob mentality of right-wing racists, but participate and get paid for such LYNCH MOB RACIST MENTALITIES that spew their satanic views against anything righteous blacks had to say on any given issue solely to the glory of their white massas.

That crippled, crooked, coward is worthy of death. May God expose them all for the singsong twisted, slaveshackled abominations that they are!!!

Again, this TREASON against black humanity. It is an outrage!!!!! Let's hope the black have sense enough to jump all over this and ostracized this deceiver and others like him for just what they are, deceiving, house knee-gro true to form UNCLE TOM of the worse sort.

I read somewhere on the net that he was homosexual and he had many sexual harassments accusations against him. Dont know if its true but it wouldnt shock me if he is alittle sissy like the rest of his conservative, sleazy, yellow-bellied comrades. As a holder of a BA in Communications - Journalism Minor...I cannot tell you....I pissed.

While it's not against the Law, it's ethically wrong for a journalist to do this. And he should be put on MAJOR blast.

However, most news is PR junk anyway. Half the stuff that comes from the WHITE house is filtered through so many people it's not even news. It's all propaganda, it's always been that way. Journalism history is rife with this. The propaganda part...the being paid, just proves that Bush is a lying cheating snake, and that anyone anytime has a price.

Just another reminder of the underhanded tactics and conduct of this current admnistration. Again, as I have asked before, where is the outrage of all those bible-toting (no pun attended) right winders? Shouldn't they be in an uprage that thier choice for President is acting in an 'unchrisitianlike' way.

Uh, Bribery is illegal. If he regards himself as a journalist, the he has a journalistic responsibility. And he violated his covenant to the people that entrust him to be objective and honest. Then again, those who llisten to him should know that any one working under the umbrella/ownership of Sinclair Broadcasting is nothing but pro-republican.

And of course all the right-wing radio and T.V commentators (notice I didn't call them journalists) haven't given this much attention.

Seems to be alot of garbage coming out AFTER the election, does it not?
