"Blood Diamond", the Hollywood blockbuster starring Leonardo DiCaprio, has generated plenty of column inches about the trade in so-called conflict diamonds that fuel civil wars. But one story that gets less attention is the plight of tens of thousands of children who are forced to mine the gems in the first place.
British aid group Save the Children has used the film's release today in London to remind us that more than a million children in over 50 countries are working in mines, risking injury, death and missing out on education.
