I concur with your sentiments Terrence- I can't believe the comments state he is a proud member of the black community and addressing social issues of blacks while putting something totally opposite of what this guy's even talking about. You can't get much nastier than displaying a picture of two unattractive women in ugly swimsuits; one looking like she hadn't trimmed her weeds for a very loooong time. That's plain embarrassing.

Why would someone black even spend time to put up such a site.
I get sick and tired of people going out of their way to discuss sites and philisophies that do nothing but make us look bad, but can't find it in them to find sites and philosphies that uplift us.

Now maybe I used some words that may have been out of context “waddle in despair”. The reason I wanted to share this site is to allow us to look at this from a different perspective I was totally taken a back of many of the images but I also feel that I am an open minded person who can look at things from all different angles. It wasn’t my intention to offend anyone. To me it just shows how much work there is to be done and for those of us who have the education, resources and money to attempt to really reinvest back into the neighborhoods that we grew up in. There are many brothers and sisters who have so called made it and forget that it was the so-called ghetto that gave them the strength to survive. All I am saying is that we as a people need to set higher standards for our selves. Even though many may not want to change I think that as we continue to dialogue that we can come up with workable and doable solutions that we can all agree on to create a better environment for our people. Period. I do not care about the dress or the hair because we are a flamboyant people it is part of our nature and culture, the thing that disturb me the most is the images of the little boys dancing in a sexual nature with grown women. The vicious cycle of negativity is what we need to fight, when I say change I think that it should be done through love not looking down or belittling nor degrading we get enough of that.

I feel you cwhurd. I totally agree with your last post. Please forgive my misinterpretation of the topic. I overreacted because I just hate sites like that.
Good points!

This couldn't have been stated? It just had to be shown right? Pplease! If you want to do something positive do it. I can show you less than flattering photos, but what does that prove?
I don't know,if showing pictures of people not at their best is funny. My hope is we can do better than a hot ghetto mess. Next up will be see black street or rural mess. See the black youngster who wears the same tattered clothes everyday. Take a picture of it,but it should be about telling that youngster he can still win and clothes are just damn clothes, and those who gawk and make fun have the problem.

The question should be why would someone do that. also it is not just black people that are on the net like that. there are other races that are on the net like that also.

Unfortunately, people who post such things don't even think at the level of what effect it would have on others. It doesn't even come to mind. They actually think it's humorous or entertaining, and that's what's sad.

Sponsers Backing Out
It appears that State Farm Insurance and Home Depot have requested BET to drop their Ads from the series debuting on BET (the series is based on the web-site). Thank God someone in these companies has some common sense not to be affiliated with this disgusting show and web-site.
At this present time most of the BET programming is a disgrace to our people and Charlie Murphy should be ashamed of hosting this show.
I think if you want half-way decent programming I turn to TV ONE (which is not perfect).
