Our Future

Just was outside, saw the little ones getting out of summer school. My thoughts went to our future. Once before I said that if we don't get it together by the end of my generation, and what I meant was by 2008-9 we will have to wait another generation. Another 40yrs. What do I mean. What generation had Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, The Panthers, Afros etc. Malcolm Martin and The Panthers, were as I was a youngster, 10-13. This generation I am in has relatively produced no what we call leaders where are they. We are the broken pieces of a generation past. that had focus. It is incumbant upon us to pick up the torch, but I believe we have failed miserably. we have been sidetracked. And bought into the lies and deception of capitalism etc. there are some of us alive, but so splintered it will take the Miracle of the Creator to make something now happen. It is not that I have given up, but I look at the generation behind me. A generation for the most part we have lost. Lost to drugs violence black on black hate. Wanna be hustlers, pimps, killahs, saggin pants, blunt smokin, modesty is out the door. So in seeing the little black children. So beautiful and innocent. I see this is the future the generation that is maybe 10 and under. this is who we need to teach, who we need to reach. The ones we have to instill the sense of pride in who they are. This is our future. Lets not drop this ball. It seems to me it will be another 40yrs before we come out of this mire we are in Peace

i often think the same thing. it seems hopeless.
however, there are people here and there who are trying to get it together.
don't get too discouraged.

You are right and there are brothers and sisters who are doing well and have not sold out to Capitalism like some of our so called churches.Once we get back to black and teach our peolpe respect for self, your mate, the elderly, community,we focus on reteaching life skills again.Once in place then we must study the white elitist mindset and make a sound plan againts it so we will never be caught off guard again. This shouldn't be hard they base their logic on insecurity. We also study what Capitalism is and learn how to deal with it.We master it so our youth don't have to sell out to an image that the dominant culture portrays you as.A thug rapper, pimp, cross dressing man, which is used to entertain him. We must become a threat again instead of a joke.
