Master P (what we call him, he goes by P. Miller) has been doing good things for the community since he stopped rapping. He's an excellent role model for his son and he's leading him in the right direction. His son, known as Lil Romeo, received a full athletic scholarship to play at the University of Southern California and he's doing well. P coming up with his own network is a bigger step than anybody else has made. He's established youth centers and centers for the homeless. He's been getting his "grown man" on and I'm glad somebody finally decided to step up.
Didn't he recently get another award for all of the community work he has done as well? This does seem like a classic case of people only focusing on negative aspects of a black man. Quite a few rap and hip-hop artist out there do a lot of good out there.
Master P also changed his name, he wants to go as P. Miller now....I guess he figures he's getting to old for "Gangsta Names". *shrugs shoulders*
I pray every other 'rapper' follows his lead. I'll be checking out his cable network and if it comes off as 'BETish' I'll tune out and add it to my ignore list, though if he has shows like Black Men Revealed ala TVONE I'll tune in.
