P coming up with his own network is a bigger step than anybody else has made. He's established youth centers and centers for the homeless. He's been getting his "grown man" on and I'm glad somebody finally decided to step up.
Didn't he recently get another award for all of the community work he has done as well? This does seem like a classic case of people only focusing on negative aspects of a black man. Quite a few rap and hip-hop artist out there do a lot of good out there.

I pray every other 'rapper' follows his lead. I'll be checking out his cable network and if it comes off as 'BETish' I'll tune out and add it to my ignore list, though if he has shows like Black Men Revealed ala TVONE I'll tune in.
