Bernie Mac's Soul Men
saw an early screening of this buddy flick with sam jackson last week.
first the bad: language - these mf's got some really f'ed up mouths that have nothing but shish coming out they azzes!
and now the good: this mess was funny!
the story follows two washed up back-up singers of a recently deceased r&b/soul singer as they travel from l.a. to the apollo theater in harlem for their ex-friend's memorial service/concert. they're old and rusty, hate each other, and can't move the way they used to but being on stage for them is like riding a bike so by the final performance their beloved public get their monies worth.
i don't think i need to emphasize how funny both Mac and Sam are in this but i think y'all are gonna like this one when it comes out. oh, it also has a cameo by Isaac Hayes.
