"India has started its first human trials of a vaccine aimed at preventing AIDS. At the same time, authorities are promising to step up efforts to slow the spread of the AIDS and HIV, the virus that causes it, which now infects more that five million Indians."

Hopefully this will become a promising proving ground for the vaccine that may have the potential to fight AIDS if used in strategic distribution methods.

I was reading this story today. Hope is on the horizon. Props to India. I pray too for a cure to save African's people/children lives. There is nothing sadder than seeing children suffer. It's so undeserved.

I didn't see a "cure" b n worked on. But did notice an objective to "slow" the spread of AIDS/HIV. This cause and effect relationship is questionable and very controversial. Many non-MDs and MDs say that HIV does not cause AIDS. And please do not answer: well my so 'n so had this surgical operation; they removed malignant whatever. So? But did that cure it? No! It did what is said: removed something and will remove something else later on and still claim to not know a cure or cures. Shameful ain't it.

Whatever my question is why wherever there's a Western Science's domination in medical treatments for AIDS and any other major reported killer of people, seldom if ever is there a cure. And announcements after announcements are made that progress is being made? Cures? Name one for a wide spread disease. One.

I'm not a doctor of anything; with that disclaimer, I often wonder why aren't there more concentration in natural remedies. Especially in lands like India and the entire South East Asian region; in Afrika; Brazil, e.g, the Caribbean and Central America; the NDNs of this continent.

Meanwhile surely its noticed the increasingly myriad of herbal remedies packaged Super Market stylee: bewildering sights! And similarties in pricing? Sure signs of massive mktg techniques at work.

Associated with this rising trend is the fact that GenFood products are difficult to avoid any longer. GenFood? Genetically Modified Foods. Already a farmer has rec'd a large fine for storing seeds from his crops. A tradition among folk who grow their own across this nation. Then there's "Round Up" insecticide that kills virtually every other crop except selected genetically modified plants growth. BTW the farmer who was threatened with imprisonment and was fined had refused to use a Monsanto GenFood seed. That was the ultimate "crime."

Now connect these two happenings with an increasing network of "new" drugs that first are tested in "3rd World, underdeveloped nations" - a code phrase - for backward, primitive. These same nations' Rain Forests have been invaded for decades and plants used by Natives, especially outlying Natives, are attacked, harvested returned to "1st World nations" pharmaceutical R&D sections; studied then the "active ingredients" from a plant known for curing diseases is extracted and either made synthetically or used as a liquid extract. Quietly. While the AMA and such mega-agri businesses like a Monsanto promote the cultivation and sale of both products. The GenFoods here and in int'l mkts. Removing renegade farmers from their mix and into sometimes poverty.

America produces more geneticallay modified soy bean, corn, potatos and other procude than any other nation in this world. U've probably noticed that Zimbabwe and Azania (So. Afrika) have refused to allow gen modified rice into their lands.

One more factor is "trade agreements & loans." The so-called agreements include stipulations that a nation is forced to sell its own crops that traditionally are nationally used via int'l mkts to earn enuff "cash" to pay debt servicing charges by IMF, World Bank and consortiums (cartels?) of nat'l Central Banks. Along with that people must eat;so nations are again forced to buy foods that are imported.

All of this is related to such guinea pig testing now b n openingly done on humans. And pumped to show progress in "slowing down" a, some say, man made ethnic specific virus. Yeah I know its controversial; and especially here in America, mainly because Americans find it extremely hard to believe their own government/industrial/commercial biggies would dare do such things to their own citizens.

Two final notes: during the late '80s, early '90s two M.D.s from here a NYC sista and a Farrakhan follower plus a Kenyan M.D. announced they had a medicine that put the AIDS/HIV virus into a regressing stage when taken with a drastic change in diet. They needed a manufacturer. A Japanese corporation agreed to produce it. The U.S. Gov't, including of course outcries from the lauded AMA and major pharmaceuticals, blocked its b n made or distributed. How it blocked it, I do not know. Do u ever hear of it any longer? Its major ingredient I recall was a interferon.

I bear witness to having talked with people diagnosed to be AIDS infected who turned to natural products and say they're cured. Also during the late 1990s - 1999- I think an Azanian "Shaman" Mutwa VusamaZulu came here with David Icke and announced that he could CURE AIDS. He mysteriously left our scenes in Amerikkka. But not b4 he named the herb, that he said had cured many major epidemics in his homeland. U may wonder: y isn't the S.A. Gov't using it? Very keen question. Especially since I have contacted one outfit in Johannesburg who will ship it to u at a very high price. Then I located one in England. Same herb; it even had a rap sheet on its website extolling the herb. Also there's a brutha Dr. Sebi who lives here and in his homeland, Honduras -the same one who's place Left Eye, of TL, visited often. I saw a photo of her at his retreat just b4 her fatal "accident." She looked so peaceful and calm, I was amazed. She's from here and I remembered the encounters btween she & ex-hubbie. Anyway he boldly announced in 1980's "A CURE FOR AIDS" The feds jumped him while do n live TV appearance in NYC. Lock'd him down; but had to release'im. He has a site with a FDA statement say'n his claims couldn't be refuted and that he can and does still advertise it.

I say alllllllll of the above in hopes to spark another look at what with and how to treat your Temples. When dis-eased. Whatever God, Supreme Force, Un-nameable or whichever u believe in surely did not create such a tremendous variety of plants and foods for u and have it not be used in its natural form. It amazes me constantly how diligently our folk will burn the midnight "oils" througout a nite, then yawn and doze all the next day studying technical subjects and not study about their own bodies and how to keep it healthy and deal with it when dis-ease settles in their systems....

Oh well, signs of the times. I know my maternal Grandma took care of me, mainly from strange looking good smelling plants from her own backyard. Sho' would like to meet plenty old folk now who still remembers. Some of us best get that knowledge 'fo they left us! Doncha think?

Westernized Dominance on the medical front for treatment falls into line with any developed nation. There is no profit in a cure. I do believe a vaccine that is effective can whipe out diseases as it has done so in the past. I also agree that third world nations are often used as testing grounds for new medications and treatments before they're used in developed nations. Unfortunately, the position there usually in creates a since of desperation to find relief against things that constantly attack the ranks of their population. I find it also ironic that nations that are undeveloped are also plagued with diseases that have long been eradicated in other nations but when something "new" is developed by pharmacutical companies it always lands a place in the front lines rather than old effective medications to help the things we can combat effectively already.

I've read all kinds of theories and papers on AIDs. Probably one of the most interesting conspiracy theories was "WHO Murdered Africa". The paper didnt pose a question it was stating that it was the World Health Organization. It also even referenced medical journals that were posing the question "could we make a virus that compromises the immune system?". My recent chemistry professor who was a Ph.D and a Synthetic Chemist kept on stating that there has or is a virus being developed that is race selective.

We'll keep slashing down areas in South America that may hold plants we've never even discovered with properties that could probably save lives and enhance our quality of life.

Aside: I just rec'd a reply from the manufacturers of ACCENT, an herbal "flavor enhancer." One ingredient is a MSG (MonoSodiumGlutamate). I emailed a seller asking source of its MSG and was assured it came from corn. Then I asked is the corn a genetically modified food; or as some call it GenFood. The makers sent me a carefully worded response.

I mention it here, b/c I believe that food is vital element in any disease. Anyway do u wanna read the response? If so, I'll post it here.

Oh did I mention in the above piece that a team of R&D folk, federal gov't, were working to develop an "Ethnic specific" biological agent many years ago, before AIDS bcame a watchword to the public. It began at Fort Dietrick. I think its in North Carolina or maybe its Virginia outside of Washington DC. Even the public libraries have books on this, including reports of citizens of NYC (Manhattan) and San Francisco CA used as human guinea pigs

BTW I was at a talk given by Dr. Graves here in Atlanta. Stong voice, stronger hand shake hardly expected from one who still suffers; a slimmer man now; but still kik'n and who also can use some financial aid battling, almost alone, the federal court system and others. An attempt was made to kill him late last year as he headed to a U.S. District Court in Southern California.
